About the job

Massif is seeking an apparel Technical Designer with experience in technical/outdoor apparel to join our Design/Development Team in creating unique product concepts and designs for the Massif brand. This individual will coordinate with the Design Team to track sample development, create/maintain specifications and technical packages, and ensure production pattern accuracy. He or she must have a passion and talent for technical design, and the ability to be an effective team member in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate would have previous supervisory or project management experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Tracks status of all development pattern projects, including prototype, sample, and factory size runs
• Ensures all appropriate product development documentation is created, maintained, and communicated including
prototype/fit notes, product specifications, and product changes
• Tracks Prototype Reviews
o Attends fit sessions
o Documents prototype, sample and pre-production fittings
o Coordinates with D&D Team to ensure pattern updates are complete
o Manages prototype samples
• Manages pattern commercialization processes
o Communicates with Pattern on priority and direction
o Ensure production pattern accuracy in relation to the Bill of Materials and Technical Data Package
o Manages yield and marker requests
• Collaborates with Design to determine garment specifications
• Collaborates with Sample Team and NPI Developer to resolve production issues and recommend changes to enhance
quality and manufacturability
• Manages the Sample Team & Sample Administrator
• Coordinates Sample Room projects to agreed deadlines
• Communicates with internal teams as needed in regard to project status, tasks, questions, and issues
• Communicates with Supply Chain throughout development to ensure on-time delivery and execution of styling through
first production runs
• Attends and/or conducts all relevant coordination meetings and communicates with other teams as appropriate with
regard to projects and issues
• Works with NPI Developer and other teams from initial product development through commercialization to ensure
integrity of the design
