Job Description

Absolute Board Co is in search of an Accounting Manager to join the team in Oceanside, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY //
Accounting Manager’s primary focus dedicated to managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Collections, and Credit. Responsible for working daily to communicate with a large volume of wholesale accounts, and domestic and international distributors. Proactive communication a must with sales teams on receivable past dues and collection needs, ultimately reducing risk through management of account balances to align with agreed credit terms. Working directly with the Finance Manager and US General Manager, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative services in the management of payments, payroll function, external reporting requirements, ensuring efficient, timely and accurate reporting and receipt of accounts receivable.

JOB DUTIES //
• Manage Large Volume of Accounts Receivable.
• Process Large Volume of Accounts Payable.
• Sets up new account credit review and terms.
• Reconciles AP between the GL and Sub Ledgers.
• Prepares GL journals as required.
• Identifies large payments to be made, and notifies the Finance Manager as appropriate.
• Manage all corporate bank accounts.
• Control corporate credit card, credit limits and spending.
• Oversees, supports and backs up the credit control functions as required.
• Reports and assists with cross-functional projects as required.
• Cross trains across all shared services functions to provide support as required.
• Liaises with external accountants to provide required reporting and tax information as required.
• Provides international support as required.
• Manages support staff.
• Organizes and maintains filing system.
• Human Resources Management:
o Payroll
o Leave accruals
o On boarding and off boarding employee packets
o Personnel Folders
o Health insurance renewals
• Corporate insurance policy management.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS //
• Experience with Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable Management a must.
• Three to five years supervisory experience working in a consumer based financial institution.
• Prior experience of accounting standards and practices.
• Adequate knowledge of financial operations and capital budget concepts.
• Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports.
• Exceptional familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Remarkable skills in organizing budgets, statements of finances, payroll and expenditures.
• Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Business Management or any other finance related discipline.
