This position, reporting directly to the Controller, is responsible for tracking and measuring business data in a manner that optimizes J!NX performance. Success in this position will depend on the Financial Analyst’s ability to make data actionable, not merely providing charts and graphs.

Essential Job Functions:
• Drive improvements via hands-on exploration of data, dashboards, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Drive ROI analysis for products and design a comprehensive product pricing model that allows management to understand true product margins when taking into account all related costs such as tooling and shipping.
• Create visualizations and present clear, concise and actionable insights to management and lead discussions on interpretation of results.
• Provide action-ready analysis and reporting to J!NX executive team.
• Collaborate with Creative, Production, Marketing, Operations, and other business areas to ensure a consistent cross-channel customer experience that represents our values, aligns with our brand, and converts customers to loyal minions.
• Propose, initiate, and carry out research aligned with long-term, strategic initiatives.
• Combine qualitative and quantitative insights with video game & product knowledge to recommend potential profitable avenues to management.
• Prepare an agenda and drive a monthly operations meeting to discuss slow-moving inventory, sales forecasts, new products, and marketing opportunities.
• Prepare the annual sales budget for the and provide monthly fluctuation analyses to the management team.
• Assist with the weekly inventory replenishment meetings in which we identify slow-moving SKUs and assist with the phasing out of unprofitable configurations.
• Develop customer profitability reporting to analyze global profitable placements which improve margins.
• Improve the reporting efficiency by automating the monthly and quarterly financial package reviewed by executive management.
• Prepare all analyses for OEM opportunities and serve as the financial liaison between all interested parties.
• Work closely with the product development team to analyze the viability of prospective products.
• Work directly with the global sales organization to prepare a SKU level financial budget via actual analysis.
• Manage royalty relationships/requirements and prepare all of the financial metrics for the monthly/quarterly business reviews for major licensing partners. This includes royalty projections and sales forecasts by product category. This will include Journal entries related to all royalty reporting (inbound/outbound).
• Assist in ensuring that the item card information in Netsuite is accurate at all times.

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:
• Education level: BA/BS degree in finance, business, or accounting.
• 3-5 years of experience managing/maintaining a portfolio of standardized reports and dashboards.
• Extensive knowledge of data analysis and data mining techniques, languages, software and systems (SAS, R, Matlab, Python, Minitab, SPSS, Tableau).
• Experience with Microsoft Excel for business modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Access, including tables, queries, and forms.
• Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
• Experience with SQL.
• General understanding and ability to manipulate large data sets, data types, and data structures to complete marketing/sales/operations reports and other analyses.
• Video game industry experience strongly desired.
• Ability to reconcile technical and business perspectives.
• Ability to develop and maintain good relations and communicate with people at all hierarchical levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to summarize stories with data, educate effectively, and instill confidence in recommendations.



Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:
• A variety of standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and walking throughout the day which may exceed eight hours.
• Extensive use of a mouse, keyboard, and calculator.
• Extended viewing of a computer screen.
• Sitting and/or standing at a desk for more than 8 hours per day.


Scheduling Requirements:
• Normal business hours, Monday-Friday and additional work as necessary.
