About the job
At Cleobella, the role of Associate Technical Designer is responsible for creating and maintaining fit standard and quality across all production throughout the product lifecycle. This position will work closely with design to ensure accurate translation of design into quality product. Using a critical eye for detail to ensure garments are manufactured to specification and guidelines.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
• Ownership of developmental and production comments for all RTW and handbag styles
• Ensure garments fit properly
• Approving grade rules once PP is approved
• Direct communication and management with vendors
• Accurately measure samples
• Lead fit sessions with design on live model to make necessary fit corrections
• Ownership of Quality Control for bulk samples
• Working with calendar to ensure deadlines are met
• Schedule and coordinate weekly fittings with design team and model
• Manage an average of 20-30 monthly styles drops
• Consistently improving technical design department and fit
• Lead fit check sessions with team twice a year
QUALIFICATIONS
• Understanding of garment construction
• Proficient in illustrator, MS excel
• Strong communication skills (written and verbally) to team members and vendors
• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to identify fit issues and present options to solve issues
• Time management
• Pattern making knowledge
• At least 1-2 years of technical design experience
• Fun and positive attitude for a fast paced and growing brand
• Must be local to Southern California
