POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of International Transportation, the Director of International Transportation will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the international transportation team. This will include but not be limited to; negotiating and implementing air and ocean agreements with international carriers, consolidators and forwarders, working with a set budget, and daily operations..

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Maintain service provider SOPs and IOPs.
Measure performance of service providers via scorecards.
Manage CTPAT program including the setting and documenting guidelines, educate appropriate personnel and run validation programs.
Monitor and report on the flow of all merchandise.
Forecast delivery schedules, report delivery delays or issues to Sourcing, Production, Finance and Warehouse associates at appropriate levels in the organization.
Provide daily, weekly and monthly performance and activity reports to the Department as well as to other internal PVH departments.
Maintain in-transit tables.
Staff Development
Analyze supply chain data to achieve company transit and cost objectives.
Ensure data integrity between corporate systems.
Create and deliver performance and planning presentations monthly to Senior Management.
Increase volume of electronic data downloads from service providers to improve accuracy and reduce manual input.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:
10-15 years International Transportation experience (5 plus years in a managerial position)
Importing background in apparel, textile piece goods and footwear preferred.
Advanced Degree in Transportation/Logistics preferred

Education:

Skills:
Related finance, reporting and security procedures expertise
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical ability.
Strong ability to focus, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Understanding of global geography, economics and politics.
Expertise in the latest CTPAT and international security procedures as established by CBP
Excellent leadership ability as this position will need to provide direction to a large team of associates.
Working knowledge of Customs requirements
