Job Description

The Analyst of Marketplace Insights will contribute to the development of a smart, successful insights practice that will add meaningful value to the PVH portfolio of brands. This role is responsible for creating compelling deliverables and actionable insights utilizing a variety of third party data sources from NPD and Google Analytics to clickstream data and social listening to form the foundation of insights-based recommendations. This position combines a pragmatic, sleeves-rolled-up approach to making things happen with an entrepreneurial desire to bring value to the organization through new data sources. Success in this role will depend upon strong intellectual curiosity, the ability to communicate effectively and a desire to rapidly learn.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Analyze and pull a wide range of third-party and syndicated data (NPD, Euromonitor, Google Analytics, and more) in order to create compelling insights that guide and influence decisions ranging from product development and merchandising assortment to pricing strategy and marketing
Work with Manager, Marketplace Insights to ensure that PVH is maximizing the value and productivity of our subscriptions
Activate and educate around new data sources with an eye to creating demand for and confidence in their content
Support internal trainings and education around the databases and their tools
Develop necessary techniques for analyzing and presenting data
Help to identify the right external sources of data that will best support the mission of becoming a respected and valued resource for consumer insights
Provide reliable, consistent reporting on key themes and trends in fashion, apparel and retail for internal stakeholders
Recognize and understand the differences between the PVH brand portfolio, including brand history and categories that the businesses take part in

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 2-4 years related experience

Education: Bachelors Degree

Skills:
Retail experience
Previous experience working with data is a plus
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with a particular emphasis on the ability to make complex information both understandable and compelling
Understands how to take broad direction and independently pull together the assignment
Ability to be a positive, proactive team member
Strong, demonstrated analytical and critical-thinking abilities
Basic understanding of business financials including ROI and profitability
Nimble and flexible when it comes to juggling multiple priorities, projects and deadlines through time management skills
