POSITION SUMMARY:
The Divisional Merchandise Manager, Men'sis responsible for the leading and executing all merchandising strategies, goals and objectives with focus on maximizing financial profitability. They must be able to run the business while working with planning, sourcing, design, marketing and other support functions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Oversee and monitor all aspects of open to buy
Actively involved in all aspects of product development with Design team/Wholesale counterparts
Collaborate with Sourcing and Design to ensure the best product costs within the targeted price zone
Collaborate with Planning to ensure all product opportunities are pursued and appropriately planned
Collaborate with Allocation to ensure inventory is in line with fiscal performance
Collaborate with Marketing/Visual to ensure in store presentation yields financial goals and supports the divisions strategic vision
Collaborate with Sourcing to ensure best practices for product procurement and replenishment
Oversee assortment plans and final product selection tied to financial plans
Lead weekly business meetings discussing current and future opportunities and risks
Partner with Design to manage all aspects of the product development calendar
Work and collaborate with other Senior Managers to foster a team environment
Some travel to overseas offices/suppliers as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
Experienced senior merchandiser with diversified background in product development, planning/distribution, and visual merchandising
Minimum 8 to 10 years industry experience, with specific knowledge and expertise in vertical retailing environments
Comprehensive knowledge of current fashion/retail trends; ability to introduce innovative business ideas to the team
Prior management experience required; must have experience in successfully developing talent
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Apparel Merchandising or Merchandise Marketing or equivalent

Articulate and concise communication skills
Advanced skills in Word and Excel in all divisions, some divisions require advanced skills in PowerPoint also
