The Senior Graphic Designer works directly with the Senior Art Director, Senior Trim Manager, Design, and Product Development on the delivery of integrated, compelling, and strategic work across all disciplines. Responsibilities include translating Design, Sales, and Marketing strategies for Mens Dress Furnishings (Dress Shirts, Neckwear, Belts and Small Leather Goods) into creative concepts for trim and packaging development, consistent with brand standards and cost parameters. Projects may include product labels and trim, packaging, brand design, brand identity, collateral materials, presentations, and trend books. Graphic Designers play an integral part in the development process and are critical to the accurate execution of new packaging.

Responsibilities:
Designs packing and trim consistent with brand standards.
Works with Design on preparing for Market Week, including Showroom graphics, mock ups, and boards.
Obtains approval of concept by collaborating with Design, Legal, and cross-functional teams.
Graphics Department and Design meet with Licensor partners as it relates to trim and packaging development and approvals.
Prepares finished art to pass to the Production Artist for Mechanical Preparation.
Responds to any inquiries as it relates to the artwork provided, in collaboration with the Trim Manager and Product Admin, including questions as it relates to material, substrates, and process.
Participates in day-to-day brand discussions as needed in regard to the aesthetic of the brand and messaging within our packaging so proper information is captured in artwork sent to suppliers.
When applicable, works in conjunction with the Marketing Department to align trim and packaging concepts and design with Marketing strategies and brand initiatives.
Engages with all cross-functional partners on new initiatives with new accounts, understanding all details and processes needed to execute the functional requirements of packaging.
Utilizes the Project Management system to keep track of departmental/seasonal workflow, calendars, and project status.
Provide and communicate visual placement of trim components to Product Developers.
Partners with Design and the Art Director on preparing Packaging Trend Presentations, Seasonal Trend Books (image/layout editing), Seasonal Trend Presentations (image/layout editing), various presentation prep (boards, imagery editing) and market research.
Works with Design on creating and constructing mood boards.

Experience and Education:
3-5 years minimum of graphic design related experience
Bachelors degree in an art related discipline.

Skills:
Excellent in art concepts, layout, design and use of color. Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Print and Production workflows, and Project Management.
Strong understanding of digital packaging artwork preparation. This includes the use of die lines, score/folds, proper dimensioning, color/material specifications and special feature call outs.
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on file accuracy, consistency and quality execution.
Strong knowledge of the core aesthetics of design such as typography, use of color and composition while having the ability to grasp packaging needs and produce practical solutions.
Works well under the pressure of tight deadlines and can multi-task several projects at various stages of development.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team driven environment.
Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
