POSITION SUMMARY:
The Temporary Import Coordinator performs daily operational tasks required to import international freight. The daily tasks support PVH Imports operations.
Assignment Approx.3+ months
Hours 8:30am 5pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Monitor daily in GTN (system) shipment views/layouts to insure cargo is moving timely.
Review and verify entry documents to prepare worksheet for customs entry.
Resolve daily issues/questions that may arise regarding documentation, classification, physical movement or cargo, etc.
Update import tracking system & GT Nexus as necessary.
Responsible for resolving broker billing discrepancies.
Responsible for resolution of outstanding broker issues for the departments shipments.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 3-5 years International Logistics experience
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellentinterpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to learn and think critically
Knowledge of footwearand apparel industries
Strong knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSuite
Ability to learn/understand international geography, economics and politics
