Department Description
Tommy Hilfiger Menswear is a global business comprised of the Sportswear, Tailored & Hilfiger Edition collections. The product is designed, sourced and produced through our Amsterdam Headquarters and is distributed in all Tommy Hilfiger retail and eCommerce channels globally, as well as Tier 1 and 2 department and specialty stores in all regions.
\nTommy Hilfiger Menswear division is one of the main business drivers within Tommy Hilfiger. Based in the Amsterdam European head office the Menswear team is split into 5 teams: Design, Merchandise, Product Development, Supply Chain and Business Operations.
\nTommy Hilfiger Mens sportswear presents 4 times per year. Tommy Hilfiger Mens Sportswear is recognizable as being Classic, American and Cool with its own twist.

Position Description
\nCreate first patterns as well as production patterns from sketch/block library by liaising closely with designers and product developers to achieve their vision.
\nIs responsible for TAILORED and CASUAL SHIRTS product group.
\nCreate product specs and workmanship instructions for each pattern produced for the factory to follow.
\nArrange fit sessions for own product group.
\nAttend fit sessions and relay fit comments to the factories and ensure these are accurately executed.
\nCorrect and amend patterns according to fit comments and ensure these get handed to factories within set deadlines.
\nUpdating and managing graded specs.
\nKeep amended specs and sample patterns up to date.
\nFollow and update the critical path.
\nCreate, organize and manage block pattern library for own product group.
\nSupport the factories where they have workmanship or construction queries.
\nFlag any variance in measurements and quality issues throughout a styles cycle.
\nDevelop and standardize workmanship techniques for own product groups.
\nGrading of patterns using CAD system.
\nAssist 3D team by preparing patterns for 3D, and stitching patterns together virtually.
\nTravel regularly to off-shore offices to support design team with 3D proto development.

Position Requirements
\nMinimum of 4-8 years experience as a Menswear pattern cutter within the industry on tailored products.
\nShould be capable of working under pressure and independently.
\nShould be an active team members that enjoys knowledge-sharing.
\nComfortable working closely with designers on new ideas and interpretations as well as with the production team and factories.
\nCapable of seeing a style through from 1st pattern all the way to sealing stage.
\nHas a good understanding and knowledge of patterns as well as the production process and methods of manufacturing needed.
\nShould have a keen eye for detail and quality.
\nShould have good communication skills, verbal and written.
\nShould have good organizational skills, be able to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
\nCandidate should enjoy problem solving and challenges.
\nExperience dealing with offshore factories/suppliers is beneficial.
\nShould have the ability to quickly take on and effectively utilize in house software systems.
\nCAD experience is essential (Gerber).
\nPLM experience is beneficial.
\n3D experience is beneficial (Browzwear, Gerber 3D, if not training will be provided).
