About the job
Our top-tier brand covers RTW, Accessories and Shoes; the line was formerly called Calvin Klein Collection and CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC. We are looking for a Merchandising Intern to support with the launch of the new top-tier brand and get to experience an exciting time of change in the company.
What youll do:
Gain product knowledge
Support Design as needed with market prep and any other design activities
Assist with trend analysis and competitive research
Review materials included in buy books, product knowledge packets, and help with assessing sales.
Assist with vendor analysis across North America to understand geographic distribution of product.
Receive training on selling reports and add wholesale data to our master recap file
Go to stores and conduct research
What were looking for:
Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate Fashion Merchandising program
Strong communications skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment with team members at all levels.
Strong Excel skills, e.g. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.
Strong interest in and knowledge of luxury fashion and trends
Analytical, with the ability to provide strategic recommendations based on data
Ability to quickly absorb the spirit of the CALVIN KLEIN aesthetic.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Mac applications also Adobe Photoshop
Adaptable and flexible within fast-pace environment
The CALVIN KLEIN Summer Intern program is open to those currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and will run from June 3, 2019 to August 9, 2019. You must be eligible to work in the US and able to work full time hours Mon-Fri for the duration of the 10-week program. This is a paid internship program.
Application deadline is 5PM EST on Friday, March 8, 2019.
