About the job


The Associate Technical Designer provides support for their brands product through basic Technical proficiencies and organization under the guidance of the Technical Design Manager at PVH. This entails all aspects of our daily operations and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Track Fit Protos partnering with Supply Chain Team (Using XPC / Internal Tracking system) seasonally for ALL fit Protos
Sample Proto Check-in , measure incoming garments (supported by established BLOCKS), review sample details entering in Tech package in preparation for fittings
Coordinate fit schedule with Design Team / Tech Team weekly
Attend all fittings and manage the fit approval process their brands product with the assistance of the Technical Design team as needed.
Write up and send Fit Proto comments using WEBPDM & PLM Centric systems to Far East partners under managers direction and support
Own the development and fit approval process of a category/sub brand under the guidance in Technical Designer
Engage in daily communication and follow-up with Far East Partners / HUB offices for all Tech related processes
Work with Design Team and Tech team with the set-up of New Seasonal Development
Maintain vendor pattern library for reference / Approval sample storage
Assist with creating technical sketches w/ construction call-outs (based on brand)
Assist w/ Fit / Block and spec research (shop stores with tech team for samples being required for fit projects, grade set-up, etc.)
Assist with general daily task management based on need within the Technical Division

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Technical Design or Patternmaking, preferred
2 - 4 years of experience in a similar role (manufacturing wholesale/retail) preferred
Garment construction and make detail knowledge preferred
Excellent PC skills, including WEB PDM, Excel, Word, Illustrator, Photoshop
Proficient in 3D preferred
Strong verbal & written Communication skills with the ability to take on initiatives
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
Strong detail orientation, self-motivated team player with superior interpersonal skills
