The Advanced Concepts Manager will take innovation strategy + overall business objectives and combine them with whitespaces we are uniquely suited to solve. We are the ones responsible for bringing together departments from around the company to ensure that our products are relevant, beautiful and timely.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Create and maintain a strategic roadmap of pipeline product.
Own the advanced concepts launch portfolio. Develop product that aligns with our seed / scale / maximize targets.
Attend weekly PD meetings. Ensure the promotion of product through the readiness scale.
Manage target FOBs and work with supply to ensure proper portfolio ratio of good / better / best product.
Support director on regular ideation meeting to continue to build on the AC portfolio.
Lead bi-weekly design touch basis. Utilize time with design to finalize and refine pipeline concepts.
Manage daily communication of product, questions, request, and updates with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper pass off collections from AC to mainline.
Streamline tools to ensure all team members have visibility to accurate and timely information.
Manage coordinator on day-to-day tasks and help to guide them in them through their development process.
Lead weekly touch bases with GM. Align on seasonal assortment strategies and needs and slot advanced concepts product.
Meet with regional merch partners regularly on in season and pipeline concepts in order gain alignment and support of big ideas.
Collaborate with consumer insights on market opportunities and macro trends to identify white space and consumer needs.
Attend and support director in bi-weekly strategy meeting to move big initiatives forward.
Create sell-in tools to communicate benefits and technology to internal partners.
Collaborate with the marketing teams to have legally approved names and assets at line adoption. Storytelling is critical from the start of development.
Collaborate cross-functionally to continue to build and refine the product testing process.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 5 - 7 years of experience in Merchandising
Education: Bachelors Degree required in Merchandising or related field
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
Team player and highly collaborative
Strong product sensibility
Strong problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills
High level of analytical skills
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
