Job Description

Responsible for assisting the Store Design and Planning department staff on a variety of group or individual projects, as needed, for a short term timeframe; approx.16 hours plus per week, until the end of August 2019.

Produce assigned space planning of fixture layouts for design and construction document projects according to schedule deadlines.
Coordinate preparation and submission of assigned projects to outside parties.
Prepare and present assignments to various PVH teams as designated.
Utilize all Brand design information and national code resources to effectively complete design projects.
Update and maintain division prototypical drawings and files.
Communicate with Purchasing, Construction and Store staff as needed to gather data for assigned projects.
Source fixtures and materials for new design projects.
Prepare department design manuals, spreadsheets, reports, etc.

Internal: Multiple PVH internal departments to achieve and ensure accurate and timely corporate updates and results.
External: Architectural and engineering consultants, surveyors and contractors.

Expected to perform from the Bridgewater, NJ office, completing computer-related activities at a laptop or desktop PC, such as computer-aided design (CAD), and hand sketching designs. As well as prepare, present, and distribute written and verbal reports for other department members or executives.
Minimal travel to store sites/locations or consultant offices, with a team, or independent, as required, to resolve construction issues and/or review newly implemented design concepts.

Education: 2 year Interior Design student or higher; Internship experience applicable
Technical and Soft Skills:
Space planning of multiple keys elements required to meet necessary programming criteria
Hand rendering ability to convey design ideas
AutoCAD software version 17 or higher
Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite: specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
Sketch up
Business software skills Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Keen organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
