Job Description

The Marketing Science team is building a data-first media measurement & testing capability with the intent to motivate traditional teams to adopt a more agile, data-driven, and digital-focused mindset. A thorough understanding of the latest trends and changes digital and social media measurement is mandatory.

The Manager of Marketing Science will be responsible for supporting the global CK Consumer Marketing Organization with media insights and measurement. While the design and maintenance of standardized reports and dashboards will be an integral component of this teams deliverables, candidates must also have an exceptional ability to identify and influence decision-makers, work across different teams to coalesce key business questions, define custom KPIs, communicate results concisely, and make actionable recommendations to global marketing teams.

Oversee development of custom performance reporting and analyses across multiple channels and lines of business
Define how to prove performance, impact, and role of channels in building marketing/media mix
Translate data into human insights and stories which drive change in digital marketing strategy and tactics
Build on existing Consumer Journey research to craft strategically sound content strategies and related measurement plans
Mine existing insights and partner with broader Consumer & Market Insights team to develop target definitions, consumer journeys, and brand purpose work
Simplify/synthesize complex data from a variety of sources and then communicate solutions in a simple, fresh perspective that clearly outlines the roles and deliverables of channels
Proactively identify ways to influence decision-making, improve business strategies, and marketing programs through the creative use of consumer and media datasets

3-5 years experience in a media agency with deep understanding of media measurement, methodologies, and metrics (non-negotiable)
Digital advertising measurement methods and technologies
Analyzing and manipulating data sets to understand patterns and provide insights
Fully up-to-date on the strategic roles of interactive/digital media channels and also familiar with predicted evolutions of each
Syndicated, custom and segmentation research experience desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to discuss and present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner with clear recommendations based on data
Comfortable in a rapid response mode where information or answers are sourced from a database in a timely and thoughtful manner
Proven track record of collaboration and being able to work with flexible direction
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

Education: No educational requirements, but MBA or MS in quantitative field preferred

Strong communication/data visualization advanced powerpoint/excel required, experience using a data visualization like Tableau/Domo/Looker preferred
Ability to challenge conventional thinking in a constructive way
A natural storytellera highly articulate and persuasive writer and speaker
A self-starter; works closely with manager but proactively looks for solutions
Natural facilitator; helps integrated agency teams cross-pollinate shared solutions
Ability to work quickly and well under pressure, often multitasking on a variety of projects
Comfortable navigating and balancing multiple viewpoints
Willingness to learn and try new approaches

DECISION MAKING: With a new team, there is a lot of autonomy in this position. Looking for someone that is comfortable representing the capabilities of the team appropriately to internal stakeholders and be self-aware enough to know when a decision needs to be elevated.

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: This is a brand-new team and creative contributions are at a premium. Improving presentations, how data is analyzed and how we deliver to brands is critical.
