Job Description


The Licensing Director closely monitors licensees to ensure that the requirements are upheld and to foster business growth. This position will provide management and/or support for a group of Licensees and manage the development and execution of merchandising plans for Calvin Klein Home.


Product Licensing:
Day-to-day management of a specific group of licensees (including Home License)
Monitor licensees monthly financials, forecasting, and sales trends to provide an on-going analysis of the business; assess any royalty opportunity or risk versus budget
Support the execution of new license agreements, renewals, and amendments
Oversee the consolidation and maintenance of all databases that compile wholesale & retail financials, door counts, approved accounts, etc.
Spearhead licensee business development opportunities and other ad hoc initiatives
Analyze licensees quarterly sales reports to ensure adherence of approved accounts and distribution as well as highlight opportunities
Monitor licensees adherence to contracts regarding use of mark, product, pricing, etc.
Assess all new account and/or FSS store requests and obtain approval from senior management
Drive e-commerce strategy in conjunction with internal teams and licensees
Identify new categories, research potential partners
Develop strategies to maximize underpenetrated opportunities
Liaise with CMO team to drive marketing and PR support for category and drive deliver product centric campaigns
Assist with the Pre-Budget and Budget Licensing presentations and other ad hoc Senior Management needs
Provide and collect information to/from regional offices on all licensees applicable to international markets
Develop new business opportunities, conduct market research; provide assessment to Senior Management
Visit local stores to see new product launches, new FSS/SIS, corporate initiatives and to monitor product presentation
Manage Licensing Coordinators


8+ years of licensing experience

College Degree required

Review merchant/product needs / price grids per season per category (line list)
Manage development with licensees to ensure product development meets needs
Work with design and create product launch calendar for each licensee
Maintain / assist building calendars
Participate in product reviews and offer recommendations (key items, pricing, suggest packaging, etc)
Manage / attend Monthly and seasonal product reviews
Attend and support licensees at key shows
