The Department
Within the Global Marketing & Communications Department, theSales Activation Team(SA) is part of Consumer Journey, which oversees all consumer-facing touch points with the brand including Media, Social and Digital Engagement, CRM & Loyalty. TheSA Teams focus is to develop engaging shopping experiences for in-store fashion environments and drive brand awareness and conversion through all in-store and marketplace touchpoints (e.g. windows, pop-ups, online retail take-overs).
\nThe TH Sales Activation department has 3 primary objectives:
\n\n Drive traffic and conversion @ full price
\n Maximize in-store visibility for our brand at wholesale (working closely with retail team)
\n Drive and deliver seamless consumer journeys that are impactful
\n\nIts scope includes setting channel strategies and being a pro-active business partner for our Divisions, Countries, Departments, Licensing Partners and Senior Management.

The Position
(Senior) Director, Sales Activation, is the Strategic marketing activation function within the Consumer Journey team and provides the strategy to activate our key campaigns in the sales channels in a consistent and focused manner, keeping a consumer-centric approach and fulfilling Consumer Journey & Brand objectives.
\nThe primary remit is to develop and steer the Sales Activation strategy and define the focus areas for, in accordance with the over-arching Consumer Journey and business goals and objectives.
\nReporting to the VP, Consumer Journey, Tommy Hilfiger Global, the (senior) Director, Sales Activation, will heavily influence and drive our brand visibility at in-store fashion environments and online retail platforms. Defining the sales channel directions (e.g. tiered support levels), execute strategies to effective tactical plans, steer and develop the assigned team to work effectively cross functionally to deliver the overall brand activation for our sales channels.
\nThe goal is to bring the Tommy Hilfiger brand visibility in-store to the next level while understanding the competitive environment and ensuring that our product is elevated and preferred choice of the shopper. The position is responsible for the development of global sales activation deliverables, engaging omni-channel shopping experiences and the fulfillment from creation to implementation in a fully effective & efficient manner. This function will also manage a number of direct reports.
\nA thorough understanding of the fashion in-store environments, marketplaces and competitive environment is required in order to develop unique and innovative sales activation concepts.
\nKey responsibilities include but are not limited to:
\n\nCraft mid- to long-term sales channels strategies and frameworks
\nCraft a long-term global Gift with Purchase (GWP) strategy
\nRepresent the B2C channels and its challenges within the organization
\nWork closely with counterparts in Marketing and across the businesses to ensure a balance and complimentary positioning of all lifestyle segments and Divisions
\nBeing part of the Consumer Journey Leadership Team
\nActively support becoming a more data and insights driven marketing organization and proactively set up experiments and test pilots to learn
\nPartner closely with Sr. management at VM & Windows, Retail, Omnichannel, Market & Consumer Insights and E-com.
\nSet targets to achieve the sales channel and business goals and manage the appropriate marketing budgets therein
\nEstablish close working relationships with the respective marketing teams in regions & markets
\nLead and develop SA team to drive growth and high performance
\n

\nA strong understanding and affinity to create holistic and shopper-centric strategies
\nExpert project management and organization skills; deadline, fact & quality focused, proven experience of delivering successful projects able to multitask in a fast paced and best-in-industry environment
\nCollaborative; able to liaise and influence across different levels of the organization
\nResourceful and capable of thriving in a corporate, matrix, fast-moving environment
\nHighly energetic, inquisitive and detail-oriented
\nAnalytical mindset with an ability to extract insights from data
\nStrong communication & interpersonal skills: negotiating, influencing, facilitation, prioritization, decision-making and conflict resolution skills (stakeholders)
\nAbility to travel minimum 20%

You Bring:
\nUniversity degree or similar in marketing, communications or business studies or significant equivalent work experience in a relevant industry (ideally in apparel, sportswear, fashion, consumer lifestyle goods)
\n10+ years successful track record in shopper marketing for Fashion, Luxury or FMCG brands. Wholesale experience is a plus; global and/or Regional experience preferred
\nAdvanced knowledge of MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Mac programs (Pages, Keynote)
\nBusiness-level English (written & verbal) as well as powerful communication skills
\n\n

\nAdditional language skills a plus
