Department and Team Description
The Merchandise Planning team sits within the General Merchandising and Product Management (GMPM) team
\nThe GMPM team, in close collaboration with divisions, gives strategical direction, sets objectives on collection KPIs, drives change and monitors results, as well as building a closer link between countries, retail, ecom and head office to fulfill consumer needs by creating the framework for profitable assortments
\nThe Merchandise Planning team is the divisional business partner for data-driven collection planning and decision making. We ensure the translation of long-term strategic growth into short-term and seasonal objectives in a wholesale channel driven environment. We drive operational excellence through check and balancing of key KPIs to achieve divisional and brand goals. The Merchandise Planning team is a cross-divisional team that works closely with individual divisions through dedicated Merchandise Planners.

Position Responsibilities
Reporting into the Merchandise Planning Director, the Merchandise Planning Manager is responsible for delivering a cohesive planning that is in line with the divisional strategy, driving adherence the planned KPIs with all divisional stakeholders (merchandisers, buying&planners, product developers). Additionally, the Merchandise Planning Manager is also working closely with the Merchandise Director and Divisional VP supporting with business insights and analytics for key calendar, market, and strategy meetings.
\n\nFull understanding of divisional processes and complex development calendar, monitoring performance and development of multiple seasons simultaneously
\nResponsible that calendar deadlines for Merchandise Planning are met, and related deadlines for Merch teams are followed-up on
\nOwnership of key reports/tools such as PSEM, Market Potential Tool, Rangeplan sendout, Forecast Accuracy
\nEnsuring correctness and accuracy of merch forecasts, as well as communicating updates to relevant stakeholders
\nDriving call-outs and follow-up actions with stakeholders when KPIs are not met, at relevant calendar milestones
\nGain understanding of divisional business, wholesale market needs, own and operated retail and ecom needs
\nBuilding and fostering close relationships with the Merchandise Director, Divisional VP and other cross-functional stakeholders
\nActing as a business partner to the Merchandise Director and Divisional VP in the day-to-day workload as well as providing critical thinking support in long-term strategic plans
\nDrive and encourage continuous alignment cross-divisionally in the way of working and sharing best practices: within merchandise planning, as well as other merchandising processes.
\nResponsible for creating and advising Merchandise Director and Divisional VP on the topline long-term planning that is linked to divisional strategy as well as financial planning numbers
\nResponsible for creating and monitoring seasonal sample planning that serve as targets for merch teams as well as financial budgets
\nResponsible for alignment of mid-level range plans to topline range plans
\nDelivering content and doing presentations for key calendar and/or market meetings
\nMonitoring and reporting seasonal sell-in performance versus CEF
\nOwnership of achieving seasonal orderbook freeze with relevant parties
\nSupport Merchandise Director on cross-divisional reports and content
\nActive involvement as Expert and/or Lead in various merchandising and/or planning related cross-divisional projects
\nManaging workload (ad hoc requests) and developing direct reports
\n
Job Requirements
\nMinimum 5 years of planning experience in fashion industry
\nPlanning experience in wholesale driven industry is preferred
\nUnderstanding of merchandising 101
\nMethodical, numerical and analytical mindset, but commercial and business awareness is a must
\nEffective communicator, proven track record of building and fostering business relationships
\nAdvanced knowledge of Excel, understanding how big datasets are build
\nProactive attitude with ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with ad hoc deadlines
\nTeam player and flexibility in working hours e.g. overtime in peak periods
\nExcellent communication skills in English, both written as verbal
