POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an individual who has experience with running a privacy compliance program at a fast-paced fashion-technology company. The goal is to maintain compliance with Corporate Rules and ensure compliance with broader legal privacy obligations. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who believes in the importance of data privacy. The candidate also understands the practical obstacles of implementing those principles in a complex technological ecosystem. Experience working cross-functionally with remote and Global teams will be required to achieve the desired outcome.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

Deeply understand the teams business strategy and operational objectives.
Communicate compliance requests and the corresponding risk of non-compliance.
Create and maintain compliance tasks, epics and metrics using Jira and Smartsheets.
Comfortable with privacy compliance fundamentals and technical enough to answer detailed internal and external audit questions.
Excellent communicator with robust interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong aptitude for translating complex issues into simple language that other members can understand.
Experience in global technology privacy and data protection is required (CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA). Must understand legal impacts and California laws.
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of work experience in privacy and compliance.
CIPP/CIPM/CIPT or other privacy/risk/compliance related certifications is required.
Audit/Consulting/Client services experience preferred; especially regarding Privacy, Security and Control frameworks.
Contribute to the development of Compliance strategies and recommendations through accurate data gathering, analysis and modelling. Perform data modelling and financial modelling.
Foster the development of best practices and structured approach to compliance through sharing of knowledge.




QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:
5+ years of hands on experience, preferably in a prior Compliance role.
5+ years experience in Business/Operations Privacy in eCommerce.
Experience managing projects end to end and managing project budgets is required.
Experience working with Jira and Smartsheets required.
Education:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a quantitative field e.g., math, statistics, engineering, economics, finance, computer science.
Skills:
Partner with engineering, security and marketing to identify privacy issues, propose solutions and perform data protection impact assessments.
Manage privacy metrics and prepare complex reports for senior management.
Partner in managing the vendor privacy risk assessment program.
Support the company in preparing for our 3rd party assessments.
Assist with the implementation of privacy tech processes and software to improve privacy maturity and build scalable processes.
Raise awareness of policies around privacy and compliance across the organization.
Manage the prioritization of business needs, project related work and partner capabilities.
Previous experience with eCommerce is required.
Previous experience working in a consumer-driven environment is required.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to translate internal stakeholder needs into both business and technical requirements.
True passion for data and analytics and the value of data-driven decision making.
Motivated self-starter who works exceptionally well in an unstructured environment.
Strategic thinker who can see the big picture, and granular details as needed.
Team player with strong relationship building and communication skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment a plus.
Commercial awareness and understanding of the consumer environment.
Strong leadership, facilitation and project management skills is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to analyze multiple areas of the True&Co. businesses, recommend, and develop comprehensive plans and initiatives to improve compliance in multiple areas.
Has ability to identify strategic issues, synthesize information and present recommendations in a structured way.

Must be flexible and open to change. Rapidly adapts to changes in environment and priorities.
