The Zone Vice President is responsible for leading the sales and operational execution in regional stores, including US and Canada locations. The ZVP acts as a strategic thought partner and liaison to home office stakeholders in all areas of the business including Store Operations, Merchandising, Planning, and Allocations. The ZVP leads and develops all regional field leadership to drive sales and maximize EBIT while ensuring a consistent customer experience within the region that exceeds expectations.
The ZVP analyzes the business and visits stores to identify opportunities and communicates global issues to the home office department leaders.

Position is based in Florida (Orlando or Miami) or New York-Metro Area

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maximizes sales volume and EBIT for the region.
Travels region to identify and report field perspective regarding business opportunities related to product, presentation, promotions, sales, traffic, and competitors.
Leads and directs all activities of field leaders within region.

Assesses trends and market conditions, implements business-driving strategies, and presents opportunities to home office leadership.
Analyzes top selling and slow selling items; collaborates with direct reports to make market-based and store-based merchandising decisions that align with brand standards and drive sales results.
Motivates and inspires teams to maintain a focus on product knowledge, loss prevention, and brand standards; provides real-time coaching and performance management.

Cascades brand direction and vision to regional team in a clear and motivational manner.
Communicates expectations and holds district leaders accountable to business goals.
Oversees training and conducts audits to ensure consistent visual and operational standards across all districts; ensures all company tools, policies and procedures are leveraged.
Directs and oversees regions financials including inventory, payroll, and controllable G&A expenses to ensure alignment with budgets.

Internal: Division President and Executive Team, Store Operations, Human Resources, Planning, Allocation, Visual, Marketing, Loss Prevention, Internal Audit, Sales Audit, Inventory Control, Real Estate, and Corporate Purchasing.

External: Landlords, peers within the retail industry.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a staff in a broad variety of functions while setting priorities and allocating resources. Must be able to motivate, develop and work with differing skill levels of Senior DSMs, DSMs, AM's, and store associates.

Direct: Supervises up to 10 exempt field leaders.

Indirect: Supervises up to 150 exempt and 2,000 non-exempt associates.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for up to 100 stores with total annual sales of up to $350 million. Manage region payroll and expenses within budgetary guidelines.

DECISION MAKING: Makes decisions in the best interest of the business, associates, stores, and brand. Must be able to respond quickly to changing business trends.

RESOURCEFULNESS / CREATIVITY: Provides plans to respond to negative business trends, counsels poor-performing direct reports, and finds ways to improve profitability within the region.

ENVIRONMENT: Able and willing to travel within the region to see all direct reports on a consistent basis. Able to travel outside the region for leadership meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 8 10 years related experience

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent
