Department Description
As design intern swimwear you will support both Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger Swimwear. These teams are responsible for the development of the swimwear collections from concept and colors to collection design to communication to all stakeholders. We are responsible for ensuring brand integrity and consistency in execution are maintained.

Project Description
Responsibilities
\n\nDevelop a working knowledge of brand identity and aesthetics for Calvin Klein & Tommy Hilfiger
\nYou will work on a special print and graphic project for Calvin Klein; giving in-depth research of print/graphic handwriting (referring to archive for example), competitors research, analysis of bestsellers, etc. The aim is to push the print/graphic story of CK.
\nYou will often work inIllustrator and Adobe Creative Suite
\nHelp create presentation visuals (both digitally and on actual physical boards)
\nCollaborate closely with senior designer and design team, along with cross-functional teams (merchandise & production)
\nAssist the swim team members with day-to-day activities (like setting up Tech Packs with clear communicating info to vendors and follow up work after meetings)

\nLearning outcomes
\n\nPrint/Graphic project: You will gain insight into how to do in-depth research into an important part of the business and to be able to push the print direction because of this research project.
\nVisual presentations: You will learn how to clearly communicate the design perspective on concepts, colors and design.
\nAssisting on tech packs: You will learn how to communicate with vendors to make sure the product will be made to our exact direction and come out looking as we envision it.
\nWorking with designers and cross-functional teams: You will gain a clear insight into the collaboration between the different divisions and how they work together and the importance of cross-functional communication.

Requirements
\nIt is mandatory that you are still enrolled in a university or school program at the start date of the internship.
\nThe candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.
\nStart date: February 2020; Duration: 6 months

\nYou have an affinity/knowledge in the apparel & fashion world,previous experience is a plus
\nYou are highly proficient in Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite
\nYou are highly organized with the ability to plan according to priority and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
\nYou have strong communication skills, high proficiency in English (both speaking and writing)
\nYou have research skills and enjoy doing it
\nYou have a flexible attitude and a strong work ethic
\nYou have a good understanding of PVH DNA and brand awareness
\nYou are willing to learn and push your boundaries!
