About The Team
PVH Buying is responsible for the selection, range building and product strategy for the UK+ business. In a constantly changing retail environment we look to build the best assortment for each retail location, based upon: customer profile, sales targets and regional retail landscape. Working closely with all key retail stakeholders (merchandising, retail operations, visual merchandising and store teams) collaboration, strong communication and a passion for opportunity and success are the foundations for this team!

About The Role
Reporting into the Buyer, the Assistant Buyer plays a key role in delivering the Buying strategy for the Channel (Full Price, Concession/Ecomm), with specific areas of ownership. Collaborating with the Merchandiser they are responsible for building the CK brands commercial product assortment to meet our customers requirements and deliver a market leading range. Responsibilities include: Planning, Strategy & Market To help deliver pre-season actions that maximise sales and profit opportunities (whilst partnering in the trading and opportunities that occur in-season). Drive your area of the business in Team/Business trade meetings, recommending actions based on commercial analysis. Manage the process of taking product from strategy, planning, development and selection to stores - meeting our store and customer requirements. Identify department trends based on past and present results, customer and store feedback and industry trends, using this data to drive current and future season sales. Providing input into price point strategy for ranges. Working with the buyer / merchandiser to formulate a detailed (range) plan on the products to be offered by season/phase. Prepare detailed size analysis each season down to category (fit) level, for size packs (entered by BAA). Conduct and schedule all buying appointments with relevant wholesale partner, factoring in time to review with line manager. Highlighting seasonal/product strategies/focuses for all markets (plus additions, price change requests and margin drivers). Product Expert: knowledge of market-place and wholesale direction (specifically within your divisions). Aligning seasonal assortment with financial plans, visual merchandising and assortment guidelines. Ensuring BAA enters all orders ahead of deadlines and that all relevant checks / summaries take place Quantify buys in good time, allowing time to review with line manager (and merchandiser). Ensure all cancellations/sell-outs are replaced (and reviewed) in good time. Support the buyer in any preparation for seasonal buy reviews (including buy strategy, product pushes/key investments and seasonal trends). With the buyer, conduct seasonal hindsight meetings with key stakeholders for lessons learnt / opportunities In-Season Management Ensure timely delivery of new season product into stores and concessions (in line with TH installation and/or Retail Calendar dates). Compile seasonal Line Lists to support merchandising function managed in-season by BAA. Execute and/or manage production of all weekly reporting in time for meetings and for effective decision making. Constantly considering opportunities for improvement and development. Identify winners / losers and develop appropriate action plans alongside Buyer / Merchandiser to maximize the business. Collaborate on replenishment / re-order process, making sure of timely execution. Reviews weekly performance (down to style level) against planned/forecasted sales. Pursues in-season objectives and possible opportunities based on this analysis. Provide information to Selling / VM teams to allow them to provide layout plans to stores Managing critical path from strategy to store delivery for each season Maintain up-to-date floor plan and capacity information for own divisions. Confirming information/updates with relevant business partner (VM/SIS). Regular visits to stores / concessions proposing opportunities and reasoning for relevant visits with line manager. Conducting regular market visits, to understand trends, promotional activity and other initiatives by our competitors. Responsibility for the development and motivation of BAA.

About You
You'll be an experienced AB.
\n You'll have previous experience of formulating and delivering a detailed plan for taking products from strategy/best buy to sales floor.
\n You'll have owned the development, sign-off and delivery of a product plan.
\n Youll have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with ease.
\n Youll be a commercially astute and confident decision maker, communicating with impact across all levels.
\n You will work well with change, being able to quickly adapt and work with pace.
\nYou'll have strong analytical skills, including knowledge of retail math.
\nYou'll be highly organised and demonstrate the ability to prioritise and multitask, in addition to managing and developing more junior members of team.
