REPORTS TO: VP Strategy, Planning & Business Development

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing complex business models and concepts or techniques for planning and control. Additional responsibilities will include prepare recommendations for procedure, control or action, analysis of financial information to determine present and future financial performance, identification of trends and recommendations for according improvements, conduct research and prepare economic reports on subjects such as sales, stock and gross margin by door/cluster as well as category, commodity and style performance analysis. The incumbent is expected to identify opportunities to increase Retail Sales, Inventory Turnover and Profitability thereby increasing wholesale shipments

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to) :
Work with Sales, Planning and other business units to build annual financial budget;
Analyze division financial performance and provide findings and recommendations to improve profitability, such as sales mix, margins, and expense structure;
Support key strategic initiatives by structuring problems, building financial models and business plans, performing industry research, developing recommendations and creating presentations;
Adopt to change with a continuous improvement approach to ensure reports and processes evolve with the changing requirements;
Build and maintain collaborative relationships across multiple teams and functions and act as a liaison with external stakeholders;
Coordinate and contribute in special projects, such as ERP implementation, JDA enhancements and BI upgrades.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Required:
Min of 2+ years of work experience in finance, accounting or business analysis
Knowledge of ERP and BI systems, such as SAP, Hyperion
Knowledge of multiple currencies and foreign exchange
Experience in retail or consumer goods preferred

Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in Finance or related field

Skills:
Strong financial, analytical, and computer/system skills
Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
Multi-tasking, hard-working and good time management
Solid written and oral communication skills
Self-motivator with ability to work independently
