The Senior Designer, Womens CnS is responsible for establishing and executing all design strategies for womens cut & sew knits. The Senior Designer is also responsible for ensuring the product line is brought to market in a timely and profitable manner, while also developing growth business and product strategy for Company Store businesses which includes, Sportswear/Sport/Tommy Jeans/UW & Lounge.

Responsibilities:
Create and drive product strategy, lead design team in execution of the product lines
Dissect and manage SKU plan, consider price points and apply good, better, best strategy, select appropriate model & fabric for both business
Look at past sales successes for repeat or new version development
Meet costing goals; consider margin goals and target price points
Research textiles & new technology for knits, as well as develop new trending silhouettes
Partner with managers and design team to create global brand adherence
Consider commercial needs for all designs
Partner with graphics to create Sport/Sportswear/UW & Lounge product marketing
Continue to develop direct report through training and mentoring. In addition, develop their understanding of the calendar to ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner
Lead Knit product presentation to cross functional partners
Collaborate with Design Manager/VP Design on seasonal design direction and execution of color
Travel for inspiration and innovation
Represent design in Sales and Merchandising meetings and be the liaison between Merchandising & Production & Product Development
Execute fittings with leadership of VP/Director and ensure comments on execution are made
Work closely with design managers, to collaborate regularly with woven team, regarding fabric, color, inspiration, trim, and print development
Sketch out all new seasonal designs & their construction pages, as well as create all seasonal presentation boards
Assist Design Manager on concept prints and color needs for core product

Qualifications:
BA in Fashion Design
7+ years of experience with womens wear with 1-2 years of experience in a senior design role(or compatible position)
Strong experience withwomens cut & sew, a must
Strong product development experience
Experience in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop CS, MS Excel, and MS Office Suite
Experience working with overseas factories, agents and fabric and trim vendors
Advanced fabrication and technique application knowledge
Vertical experience a plus
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work cross functionally, building strong relationships between various departments
Strong eye for trends and abreast on current industry news/developments
Ability to work longer hours, if needed, due to timelines and deliverables
Ability to travel, if needed, both domestically and internationally; valid passport, recommended
Able to time manage responsibilities and be able to address tasks without direction, as needed
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines
Detail oriented and resourceful traits necessary
Must be able to find best solutions and developing methods to improve efficiency
Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and projects
