As a strategic key buyer on the Womens merchandising team, the ideal candidate is analytical, a seasoned presenter and focuses on his/her areas profitability through strategic assortment planning and developing a successful line that supports the Tommy vision.

Responsibilities:

Understands financial metrics to analyze businesses & can make recommendations on how to drive the business based on sales, history & market trends
Partners with planning to align on targets to execute the seasonal plans & tie back to the merchandise strategies
Leads the team to drive results at the department level. Provides timely direction and clean communication to all team members. Builds relationships through effective collaboration & participles as a solution oriented team member
Exhibits leadership capability & can motivate & mentor team members at different levels. Possesses the ability to manage up, down and across with results
Ability to develop & drive dept strategies. Analyzes LY info. as well as current market to support strategy development. Identifies how current trend will impact future results and adjusts as needed
Works in partnership with design to edit and assort the line, ensuring product supports dept strategies and falls within brand aesthetic
Partners with visual to communicate big ideas, key investments, strategies & special needs
Understands competitive set, including pricing, style & key messaging and uses knowledge to make sound recommendations for depts
Coaches and develops associate and assistant merchants ensuring growth and developments for next level position

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, preferably in Fashion Merchandising
Experience in Womens product management
3-4+ years of related merchandising/ buying experience
Demonstrated leadership and management experience
Strong analytic skills
Motivation to exceed plan
Financial analysis capability
Ability to manage direct reports and drive results through others
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong financial and planning skills.
A demonstrated sense of design and understanding of how to consistently convey our brand to the consumer
This role requires being a key decision maker for the areas of business she/he is overseeing
Being creative in providing solutions and recommendations as business challenges arise
Be a trusted member of the CFT and the go person for his/her business
Ability to work in high energy environment with changing priorities
