Department Information
The Tommy Hilfiger Womenswear division is one of the main business drivers within Tommy Hilfiger Europe. Based in the Amsterdam European head office the Womenswear team is split into Design, Merchandising and Product Development with separate supporting functions done centrally (e.g. supply chain). The teams work together in an informal setting on creating a premium quality product.

\nTommy Hilfiger Womens sportswear presents 4 collections per year covering all apparel product categories.

Position Description
Reporting to the Merchandising Director of Tommy Hilfiger Womenswear, this position is responsible for driving the WSW sportswear product strategy with a strong focus on aligning with the other categories to guarantee a cohesive collection and a clear story telling. This role is leading the interface with designers and developers to create replenishment and seasonal product. A strong knowledge of the product requirements for each market and making sure that these requirements translate into product is key.

Position Requirements
The Senior Merchandiser will be reporting to the Merchandising Director Womenswear and will have the following responsibilities:
\n\nGain understanding of Markets and trends by pursuing (field) market research
\nDevelop range plans per product group based on historical data, trend analysis and market research in alignment with top-down range plans as established by Merchandise Planning
\nCollaborate with Design and Product Development on building commercially strong collections in alignment with range plans, by providing guidance during the collection-building process (e.g. in Merchandising brief handover, Sketch and Proto reviews), and presenting the collection at key meetings
\nEnsuring that requested KPIs (e.g. collection size) are met
\nClose collaboration with the other merchandisers within the Womenswear division or others
\nResponsible for execution and communication of market and merchandise-specific changes to products throughout the development process
\nReview and perform different angles of sell-in/sell-out analysis and reporting needed for planning and evaluation of respective lifestyle and/or category to support (management) decision-making
\nEnsuring product availability for key meetings, providing pricing- and in-depth product knowledge when needed
\nProvide input for visualisation and product presentation of the collection (e.g. on the iPad, product stories photoshoots, showroom display, input for Visual Merchandising guideline - if needed)
\nResponsible for sample allocation across showrooms and accuracy and availability of information in Digital Showroom
\nDirect pre-pricing process and final pricing/margin meetings, ensuring price points reflective of quality and alignment with margin targets
\nPresent and explain the collection (e.g. looks, styles, and laydown) to the markets in several key milestone meetings
\nCollaborate closely and ensure alignment through continuous meetings with relevant key stakeholders in the departments to ensure operational excellence via e.g. forecasting, buying, and sample delivery for each category (e.g. Divisional Operations, Buying & Planning, NOS)
\nEnsure forecasting and updates at given milestones
\nConduct PLM related activities and oversee the activities
\n\nManage learning and development of team members

\n\nQualifications:
\n\nBA degree
\n5 years + work experience in fashion product merchandising
\nExcellent organizational, communication and negotiating skills necessary
\nHigh level of creative and analytical skills
\nAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
\nStrong entrepreneurial mindset
\nUnderstanding of Global countries requirements and ability to translate the needs into the collection
\nProject management skills related to capsules, fast track collections, new product opportunities or other initiatives
\nTeam player mindset, embraces team mentality and collaboration
\nExcellent skills in MS Excel (reporting and handling big data amount, executing pivots and other analysis) as well as Word and Power Point are a plus
\nAbility to travel
\nAbility to handle pressure while working on multiple tasks under tight deadlines by providing high quality work results
\nFluent in English
