The Vice President Design for Global Calvin Klein Womens Underwear works closely with the Group Vice President of Design as well as all cross-functional areas providing the strategic direction to advance the Womens Global underwear business to its potential.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

Lead and inspire a team of designers to establish the strategic stylistic direction for Womens Global underwear product that addresses the needs of a diverse global product assortment while maintaining brand integrity.Oversee all Womens seasonal product creation from concept to market product adoption.
Partner with Marketing team to create compelling product storytelling, highlighting product features and benefits.

Partner with Global Merchandising team, utilizing external and internal cross-functional teams to facilitate product assortment, color flow, and targeted price points in accordance with global alignment.Partner with Product Development and Raw Material teams from initial concept development to manage lead times and maintain deliverables.
Partner with cross-functional product development leads to build off-cycle product initiatives
Partner with Supply team to establish costs for line development, with a focus and understanding of pricing strategies and goals established by the business

Manage Design development calendar including all internal and external calendars for multiple deliverablesPrioritize tasks to ensure resource efficiency and effectiveness
Establish, monitor, and adhere to product timelines to ensure on time delivery
Ensure calendar adherence, assortment focus, and aesthetic continuity with the Calvin Klein brand in conjunction with the GVP Design

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 10+ years of experience in Design with a focus in Intimates category, 5+ years managerial experience

Education: Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design

Skills:
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Strong presentation skills
Knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Internal: Exceptional communication between global partners along with cross- functional teams resulting in regular Global Line Adoptions at the beginning of each session; lead presentation for Global Line Adoption promoting synergy between regions; manage focused communication to accounts with visual aids to create visibility of assortment.

External: N/A


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct: Sr Designer, Designer II (2)

Indirect: Designer I, Assistant Designer (2)


BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: T&E, sample, and travel budgets

DECISION MAKING: Analyze current business and market trends to optimize product assortment, identify opportunity and white space. Partner with merchandising teams to gain insight on consumer feedback and customer needs in order to infuse the assortment with customer specific product to maximize brand penetration.

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Highly creative and collaborative environment. Expected to know the global underwear market place and competition; demonstrate a passion for underwear design and the Calvin Klein brand.
