\nThe intern will work with our Tommy Hilfiger Buying and Planning team in Amsterdam. Product lines under the Tommy Apparel divisions include Outerwear, Denim Product, Pants, Shorts, Sweaters, Shirts, T-Shirts, Dresses, Suits, Leather product, for Men, Women & Kids/ New-borns.
\nThe buying and planning team works with our buying offices and vendors on the production planning of finished goods.
\nIn this role you will need to collaborate with different divisions (see below) as well as external parties.
\nThe division is split into the following areas:
\n\nDesign Creative direction
\nSales Contact to local sales forces, emphasizing market needs and commercial trends, responsible for budgets & sales targets
\nMerchandising Product Management, Range Planning, Strategic direction and brand positioning, Collection framework
\nDivisional Operations Sample Process, Production inbound, logistics, Style set-up (data
\nmaintenance)
\nBuying and Planning Demand Planning, Production planning with Factories, Buying,

Project description
\nDuring this internship, your specific project will be mapping the current process on leftover fabric and create a new process around the transparency of leftover fabrics and how to utilize these better.
\nLearning objectives
\n\nGain insight and understanding of the supply chain of an international operating fashion brand
\nIn-depth knowledge of Production planning across different product groups
\nIn-depth knowledge of the Buying and Planning process
\nGain a sound understanding of differences between All apparel categories
\nAssist in projects to improve efficiencies in the supply chain
\n\n
\nCore Accountabilities
\n\nSupport to the Buying and Demand Planner in all Buying and Planning related activities such as seasonal comparisons and data validations.
\nAssist the Planner with reporting and divisional projects.
\nCreate overviews that supports decision making of the Planner.

Position Requirements
\nIt is mandatory that you are still enrolled in a university or school program (Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics) at the start date of the internship.
\nThe candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.
\nStart date: February 2020; Duration: 6 months

\nYou have an affinity/knowledge in the apparel & fashion world
\nIt is a plus if you have previous experience in the fashion industry
\nYou are highly organized with the ability to plan according to priority and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
\nYou have good knowledge & computer skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word (SAP BW/Hana reporting is an advantage)
\nYou have strong communication skills, high proficiency in English (both speaking and writing)
\nYou have a flexible attitude and a strong work ethics
\nYou have a good understanding of Tommy Hilfiger DNA and brand awareness
\nYou are willing to learn and push your boundaries!
