The Assistant Designer is responsible for assisting the Designer with all aspects of the design process. Assistant Designer should offer creative vision (trend research, design ideas, etc.), have proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop, knowledge of Web PDM/ PLM, and be able to maintain organization of all materials needed for meetings and fittings.

Responsibilities:
Research for new ideas and inspirational concepts
Sketch CADs and build design boards
Update CADs & BOMs after meetings and produce recaps
Actively participate in fittings, take notes and input to database system
Create detailed tech-packs and communicate artwork needs to CAD team
Update and keep organized various binders for fabrics/CADs/fit notes/trims/artwork
Review and comment on Lab Dips, Fabric, Art, and Trim submits
Regularly correspond with Production/Merchandising/Trim/Fabric R&D/Technical Design teams
Attend all meetings and keep detailed notes

Qualifications:
College degree in Fashion Design
1-2+ years of demonstrated design experience, preferably in Womens CnS knits
Must have proficient knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Web PDM/PLM.
Ability to sketch and draw flats by hand and in Illustrator
Strong knowledge of garment construction
Adept at the working place, multi-tasking multiple seasons and juggling priorities in an organized but flexible manner
Must have a clear understanding of the Tommy aesthetic and ability to identify key trends and determine how they relate to our brand
Strong time management, organizational skills & problem solving skills
Very good accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to occasionally work long hours
Ability to handle stressful situations while remaining professional and organized
Always be a team player and be enthusiastic about contributing to the design process
3-D design experience, a plus
Ability to work in fluid environment with changing priorities required
