Department Description
In our Calvin Klein Jeans Kids division, we strongly believe in making the world a better and greener place to live in. Therefor we've set ourselves the goal to use only sustainable raw fabrics in our collections by 2023. On the road to get there we are looking for new innovative ways of designing collections.
\nOne of the major digital initiatives in our company is 3D design, which is still in the early stages. We would like to explore the digital world and what it can bring us on a creative and commercial level, think of new ways of presenting collections without actual clothing?

Project Description
As we are Calvin Klein Jeans, we would like to grow our jeans business and therefore the intern can partner up with our head of design and the designated product developer and contribute to grow this business with market & fabric research, visiting denim fairs.
\nThe Design CK Jeans Kids Intern will:
\n\nDesign into the specific DNA of a global international fashion brand, learn what works and what doesn't;
\nGain experience in a full design circle, starting from sketches, to technical design sketches resulting in the final actual style;
\nGain insight and understanding of all aspects of a full collection development cycle, from first planning and concept brief to collection reviews to the final launch of a product and in season sales;
\nGain in-depth knowledge of the design process while working together with merchandise, production and sales teams;
\nGain an understanding of a collection build up that meets the needs of the market, based on historical numbers, trend-forecasting and sales feedback.

Requirements
\nIt is mandatory that you are still enrolled in a university or school program at the start date of the internship. Please note this is not a thesis-oriented internship but more to gain experience in a global work environment.
\nThe candidate must be eligible to work in the EU
\nStart date: February 2020; Duration: 6 months
