The Financial Analyst will support the Heritage Marketing Finance Division by assisting in budget preparation and expense management in order to meet financial objectives and contractual Licensee obligations.

Assist in all close, estimate, and budgetary processes for the income statement and balance sheet
Assist in all monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements
Assist on various ad-hoc requests

Timely and accurate review of actual results to ensure completion, accuracy, proper classification and compliance with US GAAP
Reconcile, analyze and assist in managing P&L and balance sheet accounts
Identify and communicate variances to estimate/budget
Monitor and analyze expenses, prepare journal entries and formal reconciliations and investigate/resolve variances in a timely manner
Review invoices and T&E expense reports to ensure they comply with company policy and are in line with the budget, reporting material variances

Understand estimate assumptions and review for reasonableness and timing, challenging where appropriate
Identify, communicate and track full year risks and opportunities
Track movement between various accounts and advertising jobs to ensure the department as a whole closes the year on budget

Assist with the preparation of bi-annual Budget process
Attend budget meetings and work with operational partners to complete budgets and Two Year Plans
Prepare budget packages, templates and variance explanations and consolidate budgets
Assist in the preparation of top-level schedules and presentations
Prepare monthly financials for review and attend monthly review meetings with department managers
Work with operational partners to understand their businesses, related processes and identify accounting and finance related questions/issues
Provide financial and accounting guidance and support to operational partners as needed
Work with the Finance Manager in resolving day-to-day accounting issues


Experience: 2-4 years of experience, preferably in corporate finance environment
Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience with EssBase and SAP
PC skills Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)
Strong analytical skills and internal customer focus is required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities required
Flexibility to work as workload requires (Heavy workload required during key financial processes such as year-end, preparation of budgets and monthly close)
Strong math and analytical skills.
