The Manager, Product Sustainability is responsible for co-creating, managing and championing the environmental activities and programs related to the development, implementation and expansion of sustainable products across TH NA with the goal of ensuring market leadership and meeting global sustainable product targets. The Manager, Product Sustainability will influence and drive engagement of key internal and external stakeholders across the product value chain to ensure successful design, manufacturing and sales of more sustainable products. The Manager, Product Sustainability will act as the liaison between TH NA decisions and TH CR to ensure TH NA activities are part of the global TH Make it Possible (MiP) CR strategy with globally aligned sustainable product programs, including strategies, goals and operationalization.

Responsibilities:
Strategy
Roll-out and embed agreed-upon TH NA MiP product targets
Give input into global TH product strategies on behalf of TH NA
Oversee co-creation of moving/additional MiP product sustainability targets
Ensure alignment with global CR strategies maintaining a close link to TH CR & TH NA Strategy teams

Product
Ensure key TH NA business partners are educated on sustainable product programs, with clear direction regarding product sustainability, including how to design products that support MiP product targets
Outline best in class product category opportunities that focus on critical CR initiatives and promote key wins
Leverage TH Global CR team expertise and resources, including standardized TH training material and procedures, to educate, facilitate and enable key TH NA business partners to execute the operations of existing MiP sustainable product programs, within an NA context, including:
BCI- Better Cotton Initiative
Product Packaging
LID Low Impact Denim Washing
Circular Design
Work with relevant TH NA teams to ensure product sustainability programs are developed to be scalable and can be quickly expanded, supported by robust, peer-reviewed data to support strong marketing messaging and have clearly defined data collection and tracking systems, managed by the appropriate divisions
Ensure correct tools are developed and utilized to bring transparency to product sustainability performance
Co-create action plans for improvement if needed
Ensure visibility of data to facilitate the reporting needs of TH NA business, MiP and PVH CR

Supply Chain
Liaise with TH CR team on TH Rolling Innovation Plan to ensure global alignment on sustainable product innovations
Oversee sustainability performance of TH NA divisions and, where relevant, supply chain partners, related to TH NA product sustainability (e.g. BCI and LID performance)
Ensure correct tools are developed and utilized to bring transparency to supply-chain performance on product sustainability
Connection with key internal stakeholders to ensure education on product sustainability initiatives, with the goal of significant growth in share of more sustainable products
Educate and enable marketing to create captivating sustainability messaging within MiP framework, providing product subject matter content
Education and inform internal stakeholders on external trends, work group status/direction, opportunities and challenges
Ensure visibility on TH NA sustainable product programs with internal stakeholders
Represent THs interest at meetings, conferences and external stakeholder/working groups, and influence outcomes to align with TH requirements and strategies as needed
Responsible for managing to the Sustainability budget against initiatives

Qualifications:
B.S. / B. A. or M.S. in business administration, environmental science, or similar discipline
4-5+ years of experience in sustainability or related experience. Apparel industry, raw material (in apparel or other consumer facing industries) and/or plastics/packaging is encouraged. Supply Chain or product sustainability experience preferred
Demonstrated ability managing product environmental or corporate responsibility-related programs in the supply chain
Experience managing and providing internal and external training
Strong problem solving abilities with a solutions oriented mindset
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically to deliver results
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to explain complex data and content in a clear and impactful way with target audiences in mind
Proficient in using MS Excel to combine and analyze data from various sources, and generate reports and graphics.
Must be able to combine large volumes of data for consolidated reporting. Advanced capabilities with MS Excel or data visualization preferred.
Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
Knowledge of the apparel industry, consumer goods industry, product development or supply chain preferred
Previous engagement with the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, or comparable industry working groups is a plus
Working knowledge of global and regional polyester recycling and plastics waste management infrastructure
Ability to travel, if needed
