POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graphic Designer position will work directly with the Creative Design team, with partnership of the Marketing team. Be responsible to Develop, and implement all print with some digital related marketing materials for communications that support Speedos brand strategy. The Graphic Designer is responsible for exploration, conceptualization, and execution of design options and solutions. Works as a member of a larger team in the development of brands focused design solutions. Supports the Senior members of the department in working toward fulfillment of brands needs in line to build equity, maximize revenue and support strategy. The Graphic Designer should stay current on industry standards, trends and should always be up to date on design skills and software. Takes pride in company and its brands. Standard requests of the business include packaging, traditional advertising and point of sale design, presentation design, photo shoot preparation support, social media, digital adverting design (external of SpeedoUSA.com and ecommerce partners, and icon design.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
1. Participate in the creative process by presenting well-developed and strategic creative solutions to meet all project objectives
2. Develop, design and execute all print related marketing materials as briefed
3. Design dramatic and eye-catching graphic solutions to communicate the brand message in all print related avenues
4. Partner with Senior team members as needed to develop and design visual communication materials that support the brand strategy
5. Implement Speedo visual identity consistently across all print marketing communications 6. Work collaboratively with Creative, Marketing teams and Traffic Manager to ensure that all design solutions meet deadlines, objectives and budget parameters
Consistently research, identify and share current industry design trends and competitive reviews as they relate to the brand
Active participates in meetings and critiques as a team member to the department
Prepares prototypes and designs for brand presentations
Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:
3-5+ years experience in graphic design
Must have experience working in an agency or an in-house design team

Education: Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or similar degree program


Skills:
Excellent knowledge of print design and production skills
Expert knowledge of current Adobe Creative Suite
Strong knowledge in pre-press files construction in Adobe InDesign and Adobe illustrator
Excellent mechanical/production skills with experience in typography, layout and design
Verbal, interpersonal, individual project management and presentation skills
Ability to build strong working partnerships
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently and in a fast paced environment to meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of fashion/sports apparel and retail environment are a plus
