The Team

Fitting within the wider Marketing and Communications group, PVH STUDIOS (PVHS) produces over150,000 image assets each year for both Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, primarily for the brands global Ecommerce websites. From its new state-of-the-art 23,500 sq. ft. facility in Amsterdam, PVHS strives to blend operational excellence with creative elevation to ensure best-in-class digital fashion consumer experiences, every day. With 9 fully-equipped Ecommerce bays running on the latest tech, 2 Editorial Studios with drive-in capacity, a Still Life Studio, Equipment Room, Sample Management area, cafe with full menu, kitchen, offices, meeting rooms and chill-out spaces (ohand a jump-up sound system) - it is truly one-of-a-kind.

The Position

This critical role uses a deep understanding of fashion to outfit, style and capture visual content that quickly resonates with our consumers. Working closely with PVH Studios Art Directors and PVH Creative Marketing teams, you will lead On-Model and Still-Life shoots and style aspirational images that adhere to guidelines but elevate our brands. You will be comfortable working on ad-hoc projects as well as consistent E-Commerce image production. Reporting into the PVHS Creative & Production Manager, the role balances commercial, strategic AND creative considerations. It is comfortable working fast and continually sense-checks the aesthetic quality-bar to ask What is enough for the consumer? It elevates quality but within reasonable commercial boundaries. The role is vigilant against complexity, exception and subjectivity. In terms of behavior, the Stylist adeptly navigates ambiguity and remains calm and pragmatic when creative direction unavoidably changes. They role-model the PVHS HOW WE ACT principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Own ALL photographic output delivered by PVHS teams with ultimate accountability for technical execution

Partner with studio Art Directors (ADs) to lead and manage creative teams to hit image quality bar

Contribute to continuous improvement of the studio Aesthetic Variables KPIs

Work tightly with Operations Manager & Production Manager to optimize studio efficiencies, every day

Test and implement PDP Guidelines with ADs as well as Ecommerce and Creative Marketing stakeholders

Analyse consumer data to inform creative decision

Research and develop latest image capture techniques and fashion-centric photography innovations

Build strong collaborative relationships with global brand leadership

Attend all MBRs and QBRs with Ecommerce and Marketing Leaders

Scope and lead Special Projects

Shoot On-Set at least 3 x days per week to lead by example

Lead and manage a team of at least 3 x direct reports (2 x Photographers, 1 x Studio Technician)

Train, develop, coach and nurture all direct reports including at bi-weekly agenda-led One-to-Ones

Conduct ongoing performance assessment with clear long and short-term objectives using SMART goals

Perform annual performance assessments of all direct reports as per PVH corporate processes

Selflessly promote the development and visibility of the IMAGING Team

Understand, promote and model the PVH Studios HOW WE ACT principles at all times

The Ideal Candidate

At least 10 x years experience in a Lead Photography role within high-volume Ecommerce fashion workflows

Strong background in balancing creative with commercial, operational and strategic business acumen

Elevated creative portfolio resonating with contemporary fashion consumers

Hunger to drive automation and standardize workflows whilst maintaining creative standards and elevation

Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills

Proven track-record of inspiring, managing and directing creative teams (comprising of Photographers, Stylists, Models, Hair & Make-Up Artists, Digital Technicians and Retouchers)
