The Team
Reporting to the Senior Merchandiser, this position is responsible for driving the divisional product strategy and the implementation of a regional product collection for Calvin Klein Jeans Footwear. This role is leading the interface with designers and developers as well as being a key pivot for marketing, retail and e-commerce departments.

The role encompasses the creation of product merchandising plans which include both replenishment and seasonal product. A strong knowledge of the product requirements for each European market and making sure that these requirements translate into product is key.

The Position
The Junior Footwear Merchandiser will be reporting to the Senior Merchandising Manager and will have the following main responsibilities:


Manage specific product category by breaking down business objectives, while continuing to build strong brand equity & commercial success

Ensure Range Plan proposal is appropriate vs financial targets and all related deadlines are met, all product related info are timely communicated to internal and external stakeholders

Analyze market needs, opportunities and possibilities of growth

Develop specific merchandising plans based on brand key stories and sell out analysis to ensure constant revenue

Consolidate and work with PLM system keeping track of style/option count, RRP build up, collection build-up of the actuals versus the range plans , LY & targets,

Manage business to the seasonal calendar and effectively meet all product deadlines and divisional deadlines

Support Line Manager in monitoring and highlighting irregularities in pricing, costing, SKU offer, delivery flow, market needs

Collaborate with Line Manager to develop sales strategies to improve market share

Collaborate with Line Manager to present to Wholesale and Retail Channel partners during collection Key meetings and to Design and Development during proto & product reviews

Work closely with the sales teams, and retail team and business analyst to gather important qualitative and quantitative shop floor feedback in order to apply a more end-consumer approach to our range planning

Work closely with production and design to follow up the development of the collection, remain informed of the evolution of the collection during its development

Gather relevant sales & collection analyses; e.g. per country, average selling price, margin, fit, fabrics, etc. created by the merchandising team

University degree

Experience in the industry and knowledge of the competitive landscape with footwear

At least 2 years work experience in footwear merchandising or brand management

Organized, numerical & analytical - able to draw quick conclusions from data

Good eye for product demonstrating excellent commercial awareness within Footwear markets

Advanced skills in MS Excel & proficiency in spreadsheet analyses (reporting and handling big data amount, executing pivots and other analysis) as well as Word and Power Point Master of Tableau or other reporting software is a plus

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to present and map complex business solutions and processes

Comfortable to build relationships at all levels with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Ability to work as part of a team as well as being a self-motivated individual;

Ability to handle pressure while working on multiple tasks under tight deadlines by providing high quality work results

Quick to learn new systems and tools who embraces the hands-on, dynamic and fast paced work environment

Strong product affinity

Proficiency in written and spoken English, any additional EU languages is a plus

Positive mindset, entrepreneurial thinker, embracing change and taking new ways to reach targets

Comfortable working in an international environment
