The Team
Fitting within the wider Marketing and Communications group, PVH STUDIOS (PVHS) produces over 150,000 image assets each year for both Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, primarily for the brands global Ecommerce websites. From its new state-of-the-art 23,500 sq. ft. facility in Amsterdam, PVHS strives to blend operational excellence with creative elevation to ensure best-in-class digital fashion consumer experiences, every day. With 9 fully-equipped Ecommerce bays running on the latest tech, 2 Editorial Studios with drive-in capacity, a Still Life Studio, Equipment Room, Sample Management area, cafe with full menu, kitchen, offices, meeting rooms and chill-out spaces (ohand a jump-up sound system) - it is truly one-of-a-kind.
The Position
Reporting into the PVHS Production Manager, the role balances commercial, strategic AND creative considerations for both On-Model and Still-Life. Building strong relationships within the team, stakeholders across the business, and external vendors including photography, production, technology and logistics partners is crucial to this role. Youll be adept at creating contingency plans and reacting quickly to changing priorities, enjoying the challenge of coming up with solutions regardless of restrictions and limitations. In terms of behavior, the Producer adeptly navigates ambiguity and remains calm and pragmatic when creative direction unavoidably changes. In this role you will role-model the PVHS HOW WE ACT principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Shoot Production:
Prepare upcoming shoots, including scheduling, sourcing and hiring photographers, videographers and stylists, hair and make-up artists, studio facilities, locations, editors, re-touchers, travel and more
Develop and maintain a healthy freelance talent pool for both On-Model and Still-Life sets
Work closely with Creative Leadership to ensure the strongest approach to external talent and execution of Ecommerce shoot Guidelines
Liaise with agents, clients and artists on all production related topics
Compile production estimates and budget for shoots. Manage costs within the overall annual budget
Co-ordinate pre-production meetings and route all approvals prior to shooting
Negotiate and manage appropriate usage rights
Work with Creative and Operations to continuously assess workflow and ensure processes are productive and efficient
Set daily production goals. Contribute to weekly Operations updates
Finance and Reporting:
Manage photo shoot budgets and reconcile costs post shoot
Control production budgets including monthly financial reporting
Negotiate contracts and rates as needed
The Ideal Candidate
5+ years experience producing photography in a high volume, high quality, fast-paced commercial studio with a production line environment
Fluent in English, both written and spoken form
Proven experience in Ecommerce fashion or Retail photography
Proficient Mac user with knowledge of Excel, Photoshop
Solid experience delivering both operational efficiency and quality
Keen eye for detail
Exceptional people management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams
Positive, collaborative approach; leave your ego at home!
Ability to set priorities, work under tight deadlines and effectively manage stress
A passion for product, and a mindset for always exceeding expectations
Must be a self-starter, easily adaptable and flexible
