The Associate Merchandiser, Wholesale position will manage the North America wholesale merchandising responsibilities for Accessories and Swim and provide market specific support and dedication on all aspects of seasonal line development pre/ during/ post season.
Responsibilities:
Support VP on creating seasonal strategies and key initiatives for the North America Accessories and Swim collections
Work with the VP on market-specific range plans based on trend, business and account-specific needs
Maintain first-hand product knowledge and ownership at the SKU-level of North America Accessories and Swim collections
Participate in all milestone meetings throughout seasonal calendar cycle for Accessories and Swim
Share strategies and market trends with design and product development teams
Prepare in season market & visibility tools: CAD assortments, Excel unit planners, newsletters, chase buys, early buys
Create market-wide understanding on strategy and product level and validate market requests against overarching business direction
Analyze historical data and feedback from the North America market to best service each accounts needs
Standardize reporting across accounts to analyze best/ worst sellers across and share information internally
Assist set-up of seasonal and virtual showrooms
Partner with Sales to lead account walk-throughs during market appointments to present and explain the collections
Support Sales to ensure buying process is seamless
Liaise with Global Merchandising teams to ensure alignment and opportunity
Liaise with Marketing for necessary collateral and marketing plans to support product initiatives and share with Sales and North America market
Update ISIS, PLM, VISULON with changes- retail, wholesale, size offer code, product segmentation, etc.
Qualifications:
College degree, preferably in Merchandising
3+ years of merchandising experience, preferably with international exposure
Knowledge of retail math
Ability to travel
Excellent communication skills
MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook
Strong analytical skills
Business acumen and creativity
Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize
Professional demeanor and proactive approach
Ability to interface with all levels within the organization
Strong work ethic
Enthusiasm for product
Ability to think and act independently but receptive to taking direction from multiple people
Willing to take on other merchandising responsibilities not directly outlined here
Highly collaborative, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
Must be an independent thinker, confident with making recommendations to the VP. Must have ability to manage up and across with positive results, while shaping role to be as impactful to the organization as possible
Ability to multi task in fast paced environment with adherence to deadlines
Ability to work remotely and independently as a self-starter
