The Application Enterprise Architect is a new role that will oversee the governance of PVH's application architecture, assist in building out an industry-leading enterprise architecture function, and drive the adoption of next-gen, flexible architecture to enable end-to-end business solutions. This leader will work to create a culture of innovation within the technology team to add business value, reduce complexity, and drive competitive advantage. The primary objective of this role is to progress the usage of technology advancements to improve products, processes and services to internal and external clients. PVH seeks a true change agent who can elevate the technology landscape to the next level in a rapidly changing environment.

The Application Enterprise Architect will be responsible globally for leading PVHs application landscape strategy. S/he will provide the end-to-end view on how all applications fit together and identify opportunities to standardize the technology landscape for improved efficiency.

In this role, s/he sets the technology strategy and vision for PVHs application landscape. S/he will set the vision and quality bar of its output, and represent it in all its forms internally and externally.

This is a pivotal role that partners with other technology and business leaders at PVH, as s/he defines and evolves the supporting technology architecture, while sourcing, leading, and presenting forward-thinking, high-impact technology capabilities for PVH.

The Application Enterprise Architect is a senior leader within PVH who will own the strategic portfolio, oversee its governance, sponsor technical development, manage dedicated staff and invite adoption through cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have proven experience in driving transformational change, global scale and positioning the firm to incorporate emerging technologies. The role requires a strong ability to build a network and influence senior, cross-functional leaders to resolve issues that may arise and deliver a consistently high level of service to our technology teams. S/he will also have a strong understanding of the latest trends and how to incorporate relevant emerging technologies, as well as demonstrated experience empowering team members to make recommendations and provide inputs in a highly collaborative environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Serve as the global thought leader in the applications solutions space for the enterprise; understand and predict emerging technology, service and functionality trends as well as comprehend market adoption of emerging service and business models
Develop and drive the implementation of overall PVH technology architecture strategy & roadmap
Drive the PVH application solutions landscape and recommend industry standards/best practices
Engage business and technology leaders to develop scalable solutions for the business
Define and enforce architecture principles & standards; lead Architecture Reviews
Enable the delivery of business outcomes; identify critical deficiencies as well as opportunities for digital transformation; propose solutions
Support technology organization in achievement of key strategic objectives (e.g. increased adoption of agile)
Understand and set direction regarding the strategic position of the application landscape, including ensuring the company has the required expertise - in-house or external - to support it
Identify opportunities to standardize technology landscape for improved efficiency, effectiveness, & risk management while maintaining business responsiveness
Maintain list of approved technologies and identify relevant new technologies
Build and maintain relationships with business executives to develop a clear understanding of business needs and opportunities for technology solution advancements/improvements.
Negotiate in partnership with EVP, EA on global, cost-effective, and innovative solutions; stay abreast of industry trends in order to be competitive in the market
Serve as a "trusted advisor" on application architecture and technology strategy questions to technology and business leaders
Own end-to-end business capability maps - developed in partnership other Enterprise Architects - across full suite of applications
Understand and support documentation of application-enabled business processes
Provide end-to-end view on how all applications fit together and enable users within and outside the enterprise
Develop target state application reference architectures
Define and implement POCs for proving new technologies and/or architecture patterns at enterprise level
Develop and disseminate thought leadership in partnership with EVP, EA to the organization e.g. promoting best practices on enterprise architecture

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
8-10+ years experience architecting high performing, resilient and scalable web, cloud, mobile etc. solutions
Expertise in current & forward-looking software design practices e.g. API driven development, cloud ready applications, micro services architecture, etc.
Working knowledge across other architectural disciplines including business process, data, integration etc.
Experience with relevant technologies (e.g. Azure/AWS, Python JavaScript, application servers etc.)
Experience creating & maintaining architecture artifacts (e.g. reference architecture diagrams, roadmaps etc.)
Excellent communication skills & ability to influence key technical & non-technical stakeholders; organizationally savvy
Knowledge of new app-related technology trends

Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline; retail/consumer experience preferred
Graduate degree is preferred.
