<p></p><p><b>POSITION SUMMARY</b>:</p><p></p><p>The Director of Packaging and Special Projects leads the on-brand conceptualization and execution of Calvin Klein packaging across all business lines and regions.</p><p>This hands-on designer will be the liaison between the global creative department and the merchandising teams.</p><p>The role is responsible for the overall visual strategy for global packaging with a unified brand right eco system across, underwear, home retail packaging as well as on garment trim.</p><p>Creativity, organization and a vast knowledge of materials and structure are crucial for success.</p><p></p><p><b>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead the creative vision and design aesthetic for branded content across packaging touchpoints and other channels guided by Global Creative leadership</p></li><li><p>Deliver presentations to cross functional team on the global strategy for design concepts and packaging themes.</p></li><li><p>Oversee the development of hangtags, packaging and other print collateral from initial concept to final physical execution</p></li><li><p>Manage timeline of all projects for the packaging team ensuring deliverables are being met in a timely manner</p></li><li><p>Ensure consistent communication and efficient workflow between cross-functional teams</p></li><li><p>Oversee team to ensure brand continuity is consistent across all projects and platforms</p></li><li><p>Ensure a sustainability-first packaging concept working with the consumer insights teams on seasonal campaign themes</p></li><li><p>Drive elevated and on-brand packaging concepts while adhering to tactical and cost constraints of a project</p></li><li><p>Maintain relevancy in new design trends, innovation, sustainability, customer experiences, materials and technology across all retail experiences</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:</b></p><p></p><p><b>Internal:</b> Creative Studio, Project Management, Marketing Group, Production, Fashion Office</p><p></p><p><b>External:</b> Freelancers and agency partners</p><div><p></p></div><p><b>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</b>:</p><p></p><p><b>Direct</b>: Senior Manager Packaging & Special Projects</p><p><b>Indirect</b>: n/a</p><p><u>__________________________________________________________________</u></p><p></p><p><b><u>DECISION MAKING</u></b><b>:</b></p><p>Makes recommendations for design adaptations to ensure brand vision integrity and alignment</p><p>Able to work as an independent brand steward when needed, making decisions in design and content that uphold quality standards and brand relevance</p><p></p><p><b><u>RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY</u></b><b>:</b></p><p>Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines is essential. Must be collaborative and able to thoughtfully prioritize projects autonomously when needed. Comfortable with escalating issues/opportunities to senior teammates and occasionally working cross-functionally to problem-solve as needed. Openness and flexibility to changes and fast-paced updates is essential for this teammate to thrive. Being on the pulse of pop culture, with a beginners knowledge of fashion photography and creative is ideal.</p><p></p><p><b><u>ENVIRONMENT</u></b>:</p><p>The Global Content Creation Team has an open floor layout that encourages team members to engage and inspire one another.
