<p><b>POSITION SUMMARY:</b></p><p>The Vice President of Planning is a strategic partner to the Senior Vice President in guiding, managing and developing the planning concepts for the division. He or she will oversee the development of seasonal merchandise plans that support the volume and earnings objectives of the division.</p><p></p><p><b>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:</b></p><ul><li>Create/present 3 year strategic plans for each account</li><li>Establish business models for all accounts</li><li>Create and support strategies to drive at the department and account level</li><li>Track AUR, sales, markdowns to achieve margin expectations</li><li>Track OTB - inclusive of sales & MD projections.</li><li>Maximize retail sales and productivity by door</li><li>Identify market share opportunity</li><li>Track door, shop and coordinator performance and measure ROI</li><li>Identify in season risk &/or opportunities by door/style</li><li>Responsible for monthly and annual shipping budget</li><li>Track current business and develop action plans for corrective action as needed</li><li>Identify and monitor sale events/AUR impact</li><li>Identify sales opportunities through effective strategic planning and execution that achieve financial goals</li><li>Re-project monthly sales and markdowns based on trends, receipt flow and promotions</li><li>Collaborate with Sales and Merchandising to develop class assortments by account/SKU plan history and template</li><li>Create ladders by program that support budget and account plans</li><li>Communicate monthly & annual allowance forecast to finance and sr management</li><li>Conduct annual/seasonal audit reviews (internal and external)</li></ul><ul><li>Provide margin goals to sales & merchandising</li><li>Provide projections class, program, that tie back to financial budgets</li><li>Identity new product opportunities</li><li>Participate in global line review process</li></ul><ul><li>Work closely with replenishment planning team to identify new and obsolete replenishment programs</li></ul><p></p><p><b>INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:</b></p><p></p><p><b>Internal:</b> President, Controller, Merchants, Planning & Allocation team</p><p> </p><p><b>External: </b>Wholesale Accounts</p><p></p><p><b>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p></p><p><b>Direct: </b>Sr. Director Planning, Mens and Sr. Director, Womens</p><p></p><p><b>Indirect: </b>Retail Analysts</p><p></p><p><b>BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p>Develop seasonal account budgets with class plans, promotional plans, and ladder plans to support company financial objectives.</p><p></p><p><b>DECISION MAKING:</b></p><p>Direct planning and allocation process to support company objectives and meet financial objectives.
