The trim team uses the information given by the Specialist given on matters such as; Circularity, Innovation and Digital progress to steer the industry by creating partnerships with the suppliers and finding the best way to move forward with each competency, while creating beautiful materials used on the collection.</p></div><p></p><p><b>The Position</b><br />The Senior Materials Developer is responsible for the trim sourcing and development from idea (created by design) until final product. The trim article is developed within the nominated supplier matrix, aligning with the brands aesthetic, quality and corporate responsibility standards. The key objective in this role is to manage this development process and the cross-function collaboration with design and production, as well as driving change in our part of the supply chain that are required to move in to the direction of the PVH EU set strategy.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Sourcing new trims/finishes/shapes</li></ul><ul><li>Developing new trims from technical drawing/ original sample inspiration, which design hands over</li></ul><ul><li>Keep track & chase suppliers for sample delivery info</li></ul><ul><li>Advising design on these new developments</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the development timeline up to sample delivery</li></ul><ul><li>Commenting/advising suppliers on development</li></ul><ul><li>Salesman Sample Forecasts</li></ul><ul><li>Bulk Forecasts</li></ul><ul><li>Manage seasonable trim files and keep physical trim library up to date</li><li>Manage the updates of the digital trim library in the PLM system, share out updates to relevant parties.</li></ul><ul><li>Provide QA department with nominated supplier information based on the assigned specialism.</li><li>Lead a project team of cross divisional trim developers on PVH EU relevant topics</li><li>Work with suppliers in your specialist trim subtype on skills needed PVH EU based on projects of cross divisional trim team</li><li>Follow up with supplier to solve in non-compliant cases</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Tools in order to full-fill the above:</u></b></p><p></p><ul><li>PLM Centric: the main system to generate all the material/style/product and production information.</li><li>Excellent Communication skills.
