<p>The Assistant Designer, Handbags is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the design process from initial concepts, research and development, through line completion/production.</p><p></p><p><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Resonsibilities: </b></span></p><p></p><ul><li>In partnership with Design team, assist in the design and development of seasonal collections</li><li>Researches concepts, materials and color trends</li><li>Prepares design presentations for review meetings</li><li>Prepares spec packages for factories</li><li>Communicate technical design information (updates and sample corrections) to product development team</li><li>Helps to maintain and update linesheets that are used cross-functionally</li><li>Assist with the research in the current market/competition as it pertains to product as well as materials/techniques</li><li>Ensures timely development of line by adhering to time and action calendar</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Qualifications:</b></span></p><p></p><ul><li>Internship/apprenticeship experience accessories design required. 1-2 years in related field a plus</li><li>Bachelors degree, preferably in Accessories Design</li><li>Strong accessory technical drawing and hand sketching abilities</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM knowledge a plus</li><li>Knowledge in leather goods/bag construction, ability to cost engineer a plus</li><li>Fabrication and hardware knowledge/familiarity</li><li>Strong organizational skills, time and deadline management</li><li>Understands the overall aesthetic direction of the Tommy Hilfiger brand and consumer base</li><li>Ability to learn new software systems quickly, is overall tech savvy</li><li><b> </b><span>Resourceful, collaborative, creative, and eager to learn the accessories business!</span></li><li>Ability to work in fluid, changing environment</li></ul><div class = "countryDisclaimer"> <p style="font-style: italic;">PVH Corp. or its subsidiary ("PVH") is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants for employment on the basis of their individual capabilities and qualifications, consistent with applicable law and without regard to race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, age, religion, creed, national origin, citizenship status, sexual orientation, genetic information, physical or mental disability, military status or any other characteristic protected under federal, state or local law.
