Senior Staff Accountant Job in Irvine, CA

In a super fun, fast-paced, small business environment, the Senior Accountant position at Ju-Ju-Be is responsible for all accounting operations of the company, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, input of AP/AR, reconciliations and month end activities. Additionally, they will be creating controls designed to accurately reflect the company's reported financial results, ensuring that the company complies with generally accepted accounting principles. Time will be spent in sales analysis and inventory forecasting. In this high growth, small business company, duties may be varied and the chance to make an impact is huge. The position will report directly to the Controller.

Key Duties:

• Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures.
• Collect, interpret, and report financial data including financial trend analysis, budget variances, revenue trends and expenditure trends.
• Contribute to team effort by working collaboratively with all departments and providing timely reports and analysis.
• Perform detailed review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner.
• Ensure that receivables are collected promptly.
• Record cash receipts and make bank deposits.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
• Develop procedures for and maintain duty drawback claims
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
• Process payroll while proper entries have been made in accounting schedules and ERP system

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 5+ years related experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Experience in consumer product industry with ecommerce
