Product Director (AUSTIN, TX) Chive Media Group is seeking to expand its product team here in Austin. We are looking for a Digital Product Director to help with the management of our media products across web, mobile, and native apps. You'll be a key part of an evolving product, working in a small startup like environment and interacting with several teams within Chive Media Group. You MUST reside in the Austin, TX area for consideration.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
! Collaborate with colleagues to establish and execute digital roadmap for CMG properties
! Work with products across our portfolio of properties
! Gather stakeholder requirements and ensure timely delivery to match business goals
! Optimize retention and engagement through continuous, data driven UI and UX improvements to the properties
! Manage metrics, data analysis, and reporting
! Collaborate cross functionally with Editorial, Sales, Marketing, and Monetization to ensure the product and platform meets their business unit requirements.
! Stay atop of industry trends, conduct competitive analysis and champion change when applicable to CMG
! Work in a fast paced and constantly evolving marketplace
! Drive daily stand-ups, and weekly planning / retrospectives with multiple development teams to deliver the product roadmaps
REQUIREMENTS:
! You have 5-8 years of experience as a product manager working directly with engineering teams
! You make data-driven decisions
! You have attention to detail in every step of the product process from gathering requirements, to writing documentation, to approving development work
! You have a keen understanding for what makes great web and mobile app experiences
! You’re a self-starter; you don’t need to be micro-managed
! Experience at a consumer internet company, ideally in the media or entertainment space
! You have native mobile experience (iOS or Android)
! You have experience with either eCommerce (i.e. Shopify) or web CMS (i.e. WordPress)
! Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
! Experience working with both in-house and remote teams
! Experience working in an agile environment
! Experience with the following is a must: Wordpress, Shopify, JIRA, Google Analytics
