The Events & Merchandising Manager is responsible for planning and executing Custom Wheel House’s involvement in a variety of events from trade shows, races, expos, distributor sales meetings, and VIP parties along with overseeing the execution and activation of merchandising programs. The position is responsible for all event and experiential sponsorships including all aspects of management, relationship management, activation along with POP/display planning, development, and execution.

Additionally, the Events & Merchandising Manager will be responsible for measurement, tracking, and reporting of event and merchandising activities.

This position requires strong organizational, support, and supervisory experience. The Events & Merchandising Manager is the primary contact to strategically and creatively meet all the needs of the Marketing department at these events or merchandising deliverables.

The Events & Merchandising Manager also leads, coaches, and directs the Asset Coordinator’s day-to-day activities ensuring that the company’s goals and expectations are met in regard to branding, display look, vehicle maintenance, asset tracking, and overall organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Leads the execution of all Custom Wheel House marketing events and sponsorships
• Attends Trade Shows and Events throughout the year
• Plan, budget, source, and execute Custom Wheels House event and Point of Purchase branding and display programs
• Come up with creative ways to get athletes involved in Custom Wheel House sales and marketing programs to increase ROI
• Works with marketing staff to promote events via direct mail, e-mail, social media, and other marketing channels
• Supervises event and event operation (including Asset Coordinator) to meet company’s needs while delivering a strong brand message and experience
• Works with all company departments involved in planning events for their input, needs, and overall feedback for successful event planning
• Ensures all consumer-facing merchandising programs are representing Custom Wheel House brands properly with correct logos, proper use of product, and all graphic standards are met
• Works with creative team on event and merchandising related marketing materials
• Manages entire registration process for attendees and needs from outside vendors
• Comes up with creative ways to get consumers involved to drive event ROI
• Responsible for arranging booth equipment and materials needed to execute
• Conducts site tours and planning sessions with event promoters and vendors
• Distributes sales lead information and ensure its usage
• Analyzes event operations, prepare, and implement recommendations for improving ROI and overall effectiveness
• Delivers detailed reports to Sales and Marketing Director on event and athlete statuses

Leadership:
• Coaches, mentors, develops and manages Asset Coordinator setting expectations, monitor results and manages accountability
• Provides an environment conducive to creativity, collaboration and teamwork
• Serves as a positive change agent and a role model for Custom Wheel House’s customer service and quality focus
• Support all departments by communicating and providing all collateral material needed to help them reach their targets

Essential Skills and Attributes:
• Must be able to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to manage the high paced event industry and tolerate last minute change
• Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours, light lifting and transport of freight
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team
• Demonstrated skills in problem analysis, customer relations, organizational abilities, telephone etiquette, and in effective working relationships with other service/support groups
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to make decisions independently
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Self-starter, can seek out needs and information without directives
• Ability to multi-task and perform in several capacities on the marketing team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and event management software a plus
• Shares information and provides an atmosphere conducive to teamwork and collaboration
• Open to exploring new marketing ideas and strategies
