General Summary

PSD is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer ready to develop their existing skills by working with our industry leading creative team. In addition to design skills this role will require excellent communications skills, through your design work and through written and verbal interactions. Your goal will be to create impactful designs that capture and promote the PSD brand and vision.

This is an entry level position with opportunity for on-the-job growth and advancement.
Essential Job Functions

•Take direction from Art Director and work to fulfill day-to-day requests and to execute projects
•Perform color correction and photo retouching on product photography
•Add to and maintain tree hierarchy of correctly formatted files on the art server
•Work in a timely manner to ensure all artwork is prepared and submitted to meet deadlines
•Be curious to learn new design techniques and styles
•Design product mock-ups, compile line sheets for line reviews, layout creative presentations, and retail pitch decks
•Collaborate with Design Team to design and approve products
•Update tech packs as needed and ensure all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specs and prototype notes
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign. A plus if you have illustration skills.
• Demonstrate clean and clear design and layout skills
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational ability
• Relevant portfolio with various samples
• Ability to multi-task in a production environment
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Entry level related experience
Physical Requirements

Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.
Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.
Standing/Walking: Must be able to move about company building.
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
