The Forecast Agency creates superior products through creativity, innovation and integrity. Forecast works with licensors ranging from luxury to off price. Forecast not only produce apparel and accessories for the brands it owns, but it also manufactures private label brands for many retailers ranging from overseas to local USA production.

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant.

SUMMARY: Performs a range of accounting and financial duties to support the financial functions of the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verifies and posts accounts receivable and accounts payable information.
• Assists with preparation of financial statements including but not limited to income statements, balance sheet, cash flow, and management reports.
• Imports transactions and reconciles bank and credit card statements.
• Performs general data entry tasks.
• Requests purchase order approval from factor.
• Prepares monthly sales commission reports.
• Prepares monthly royalty reports.
• Requests W9; scans and files.
• Opens mail; scans and files.
• Fills out new customer and new vendor forms.
• Disburses petty cash. Prepare paper checks when needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required
knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific
method.
• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, and percentages.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing
priorities with enthusiasm
• Acute attention to detail
• Proficient with Excel and Quickbooks.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Three years experience and/or education/training.
