We are looking for an Accounting Assistant.
SUMMARY: Performs a range of accounting and financial duties to support the financial functions of the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
⏵ Verifies and posts accounts receivable and accounts payable information.
⏵ Assists with preparation of financial statements including but not limited to income statements, balance sheet, cash flow, and management reports.
⏵ Imports transactions and reconciles bank and credit card statements.
⏵ Performs general data entry tasks.
⏵ Requests purchase order approval from factor.
⏵ Prepares monthly sales commission reports.
⏵ Prepares monthly royalty reports.
⏵ Requests W9; scans and files.
⏵ Opens mail; scans and files.
⏵ Fills out new customer and new vendor forms.
⏵ Disburses petty cash. Prepare paper checks when needed.
⏵ Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
⏵ Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required
knowledge, skills, and abilities.
⏵ Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific
⏵ Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, and percentages.
