The Forecast Agency creates superior apparel products through creativity, innovation and integrity. Forecast works with licensors ranging from luxury to off price to not only produce apparel and accessories for the brands it owns, but also manufacture private label brands for many retailers. We are looking for a full-time Product Development & Technical Design Assistant to join The Forecast Agency to perform a range of duties to support the production functions of the company, with an influence on our D2C business.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. This position is full time, based in our Downtown Los Angeles office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creates technical CADs from hand drawings; Details specs for all styles.
• Generates and packages tech packs.
• Specifies color, fabric, and construction callouts for all styles; Sources fabric.
• Sources trims and communicates with supplier.
• Communicates with factory regarding style development.
• Inspects samples and TOP samples to assess quality and fit.
• Assists with production schedule (including communication with vendors) to ensure delivery dates are met; relays information to marketing and sales teams.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
