Glyder Apparel is seeking a Technical Designer in Santa Ana, CA.
This position is responsible for all technical design and tech pack development for our brand. The Technical Design and Production Assistant will be responsible for creating tech packs from the Design department and communicating all information with our manufacturing partners. Candidate must be able to take designs from initial concept to final execution for production. Our ideal candidate is well organized; works well with a small team and fully understands the production process.
A passion for the active lifestyle is very much preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain illustrator art pages and tech packs for product lines
• Handle any design, production and spec changes that may occur and coordinate communication with our manufacture partners
• Update production files as changes are made, according to production comments
• Create, coordinate and maintain all tech packs and production information for future reference and usage.
• Send out all FedEx packages for design and production teams
• Attend and lead weekly fit sessions with live model and recommend / implement spec changes to our suppliers.
• Work closely with the design department on smart and efficient construction methods that would align with you factory base.
• Some knowledge of active wear product is preferred. Leggings, sports bra’s, tanks short sleeve and long sleeve tops are key categories we produce.
