GLYDER is in search of an Assistant Apparel Designer/Graphic Artist to join our team in Santa Ana, Ca.

Position Summary:
The Assistant Designer works extremely close with our Senior Designer, assisting with all duties related to all functions of the design development departments. Must be fully proficient in Ai, Photoshop, and Excel.
We are seeking an individual that not only has a positive attitude, thrives in a fast pace environment, but also has a passion for feminine, functional, fitness wear.
Previous experience working in the fitness, swim, yoga, action sports, lingerie markets is ideal. It is imperative that this individual has a strong passion for this culture and can pull inspiration from other markets and design it into tasteful and unique fitness apparel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Make revisions to CADs and expand color ways within current silhouettes.
• Proficient creating flat sketches in Illustrator (leggings, tanks, and sports bras, etc)
• Ability to format line sheets for sales meetings
• Knowledgeable of garment construction
• Build detailed tech packs in Excel
• Assist with approval comments for all developments (fabric, LD, S/O, trim developments, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Research market trends with goal of creating unique and innovative designs for the yoga/ activewear market
• Help create “theme page” concepts for the future collections
